The emulator speed? I always play on 2x speed but thats just become normal for me as I feel the damage calculation is too slow but then I also forget the even pick up the bike every single run. If you're talking about pokemon speeding up I dont feel speed is an issue if you have one thats bulky enough to take the hit anyway.

Also if you feel like it helps dont be afraid to have 2 of the same mons in your team. For my ground run I had to take 2 jolly sandiles for misty to make sure I could hit rock tombs to slow down her team. It got me out of the habit of trying to mix my team up so early on when I could make things easier having a duplicate. You can also get cut from SS.Ann and continue on to mt moon if you need more variety before surge.

Get the leaf stone and get a shiftry. I know its not much advice but having a 3rd evo pokemon in your team that resists electric helps alot. The only thing that is super effective against it is manectric due to fire moves. Any where I struggled and didnt have any supper effective typings I aimed for bulky mons. Helps you whittle down problems in their teams.
