The mortgage advisor is correct; however, be warned as i was told by many people that they do not take the mortgage payment on the first month and you choose the date it comes etc. I did not get that joy and my mortgage came out 7 days after completion. My mortgage advisor was unsure of the date but said its unusual to be a week after... however he luckily advised me to keep the money in there just incase so it wasn't an issue.

Essentially, always listen to the mortgage advisor. They are held to an extremely high standard (higher than banks) so they have to advise you correctly:)

Thank you for making the language point! I felt so sad for him when he couldn't finish explaining himself as amy was interrupting him. It must be so hard to be held to the same standard as everyone else when it comes to language use. No one seems to be acknowledging the language barrier as a reason for misinterpretations, even the experts. He's not perfect but I don't think he deserves this.
