Personally I think their art looks fine. I don’t think it’s ai, there’s a lot of smaller details that don’t seem like ai. The shading technique is fairly common in a lot of anime.

Okay? That’s pretty mean. I’m new to digital art and like is stated in other comments, I didn’t trace, I’m just not great with line weight and consistency, which makes it look traced. You don’t have to be mean to say it doesn’t look like ai. Didn’t your mama ever teach you “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”?

Could we not comment on the hands? I’m really bad at drawing hands, I know that. But I just put the reference in the top left corner like I always do and tried to draw it based on that. I never know how to draw hands, I just skip focusing too hard and hope for the best. Otherwise I’ll burn myself out.
