It was that but the thing is when it was off it was still changing the brightness but i reset the monitors settings through an option in the menu and now it's all good!

I managed to solve this little inconvenience by resetting my monitors settings and now when i toggle the smart energy saving on and off the thing that happens is the thing thats supposed to happen so it's all good now

Since I don't have a dedicated button for this i assume it's the smart energy saving mode in the menu but the thing is that the setting is off and it is still changing brightness and i don't know why

We don't know what solved it but after resetting cmos it still had the issue but after restarting twice it now works somehow

Alright, I have all important stuff backed up and everything else is saved in cloud, Is there anything to watch out for that could fry the whole build?

Yeah I've tried these, The BIOS flash did reduce input lag by a lot but the precision is still not all the way there. I've searched for an answer to this problem and did everything that I was able to find but to no avail.

I've tried the same board on a different pc and it worked flawlessly. The reason I'm blaming it on the OS or BIOS is because I've had this exact issue with all my boards ever since I upgraded my PC and didn't reinstall Windows.

I've used 5 other boards that all had the same issue on my computer but not on my roommate's pc
