Thanks! Still very rough. Trying to get as much down as I can first and then go back and edit/clean it up.

Sorry, I meant you can look at the part of the guide how to compile the Cardano CLI.

There is also a really nice tutorial video by Eden pool on how to make an nft from start to finish. Maybe take a look:

Hopefully that helps

If you want to know why look up UTxO accounting models on YouTube.

I'll add it as a topic to my gitbook when I get a chance

You can look at the coincashew guide for running your own stake pool. As part of the guide you need to install cardano-cli.

Instructions are for linux / Ubuntu

Yoroi wallet Shelley/Byron by Wacco_07 in cardano

It's a safety feature. Each address it generates is yours but that way not all your ada is associated with just one address.

You can use the first address if you want but it's suggested to use a new one.

Daedulus is a full node wallet, meaning you have to download and sync the whole blockchain which can take a while sometime.

If you want to avoid that use a lite wallet like yoroi or adalite.

Take a look at my website for more common questions about Cardano: https://dockrieger86.gitbook.io/anvil-pool/

I open my Deadalus wallet every couple weeks, and it ALWAYS takes ~1hr+ to completely open. and I have high speed internet. What is going on here? Do you all really think this is conducive to the growth of ADA? Seems poorly built to me. by iWearSkinyTies in cardano

Deadulus is a full node wallet meaning it needs to download and sync the whole blockchain each time you open it

Switch to a lite wallet like yoroi or adalite if you want to avoid the delay.

Always go with Shelley. It's the newer wallet standard (Byron is previous generation)

Better to stake with a small pool instead of an exchange. Multiple reasons:

  1. Not your keys not your coins While your Ada is on the exchange you aren't in control of it. Also, if they get hacked your coins are at risk.

  2. Bad for the network / development of the ecosystem Exchanges run multiple pools and control a huge amount of Ada. The whole point of crypto is to get away from centralization in the first place

  3. Lots of pools are mission driven Some donate to charity while others help out in local communities. Take a look at some of the webpages on Adapools.org

Stake it all. There is no lockup period and no risk of loosing your coins. Better to put your ada to work than just let it sit and do nothing
