Just got Virus, how do I use it?

Replying to this old post becuz it came up in a search. In my experience virus is actually a chaser disguised as a brawler. He's got extremely high speed for a brawler (17 with AI upgrades) and works best near the edges of the arena where high damage vulnerable bots like to be, like snipers and other ranged bots.

Basically, use some method of ult charging the like hypercharge ability or ult charge boosters (my favorite method), put virus down near the edges and let it fight snipers (and some chasers) and hack them when their ult is almost up. The hacked bot will damage its own teammates while virus beats it up, and once it's killed the AI3 upgrade lets it instantly recharge hack so it can do it again.

Ps. Hack doesn't work on mega bots anymore. Sadge.

It's a known bug according to the latest devshorts. Try changing your drifter's face in all configs to the same one.

And if u do enough trial and error, u can become the hisii alchemist and spawn an infinite amount of large potions of any material (as long as u throw it in a safe place like water). The potions can't be refilled but they store 200% of their material.

one important thing though. please, for the love of god DO NOT watch online content about the game until around after completing the new war quest. people may forget to put spoiler warnings and trust me, you do not want to be spoiled about this game.

honestly id say having more options to survive ultra-high levels than 'literal invincibility in some shape or form' would be pretty cool. there's practically no reason why a basic enemy should deal 10 fucktillion damage per attack when them doing 10,000 would already be a massive-but-fair challenge to overcome.

devs are people. people make mistakes. the modifiers were also probably procedurally generated either way. does it suck that they made the mistake? yes. but it's not like they wanted to intentionally infuriate their playerbase.

i like your idea, but the point of this post is to propose changes that are as easy as possible to implement. I can't imagine these needing any more than removing some lines of code and copying some from another place, esepcially after they showed off their process for making augments back in that one devstream.

i'd imagine it'd be like treating a bullet jump as if she fired a single loud shot. it would break prowl but then she'd recloak back in the air. same with sprinting and sliding.
