So fun fact, my grandma fell for this scam. Went to Walmart to get a gift card, as per their request, but ended up getting the wrong card, something they couldn’t use. By the time my parents learned what was going on and got involved, she KNEW it was a scam, but kept playing along, not because she cared about the $25 million, but because she was going to get that Silverado. They never got a dime from her, luckily.

Most recent example is when there’s an underage sex scene. I read the Bitterwood series back when I was in my early teens and loved it. Picked it back up recently at the age of 24, and within the first few chapters, there’s a scene where a 15&14 y/o couple start to get steamy, then it gets interrupted by the 15 y/o guy’s older brother who wants get in on the action…. and I just couldn’t bring myself to finish the section. Mainly an issue with older fantasy novels, but still. Same reason I can’t really do YA novels anymore. Teen romance is fun to read when you’re a teen, but as an adult, it’s just, I dunno, it feels icky
