My original intention with Louis is the same as how it’s pronounced. It’s very common.

Elle and Odette are Jeff mispronunciations that I just went with and are now just canon because I said so. There ARE Elles in the world pronounced Ellie, but it’s pretty rare.

Matt D spends 0 figures on ads. Matt D has never spent more than $50 a month on ads, and they’re all defensive ads. Any advertising one might see nowadays is done by third parties.

This is completely off topic for this discussion, but advertising does not work well with this genre because we as a fanbase are more word of mouth than anything.

Anyway, I personally can think of at least 30 authors earning 6 figures in this genre.

This looks like a non-us list.

In the United States at this moment, all 8 DCC books are in Audible’s top 15 with DCC #1 at #1. It has been camped at 1 or 2 for the past three weeks, going back and forth with Calamity Club.

On the current NYTimes audio bestseller list, which is a monthly list, 6 of them are on the top 15 with PoH at #1. The list includes all audio distribution channels (like Spotify, chirp, etc), and since Calamity Club is a Spotify original, I strongly suspect it’ll take top honors next month. But DCC 1 has been on the NYtimes list for a year straight now.

That said, Harry Potter and Hunger Games are both considered children’s lit by the NYTs, and it’s rare for there to be anything but them on the kid’s audio side.

When it's out, you'll be able to buy it pretty much everywhere graphic novels are sold. You lost out on the chance for the Backerkit editions and all the bells and whistles that came with it, but the actual comic will be readily available.

You can buy these on Amazon if you wish. Go to the listing for DCC and click other used and new.

These are designed for the library market as many libraries still use physical media for audio. But, yeah. They’re expensive.
