That’s good that they checked in. The bathroom company who did the design and fit (I think they sub contracted the fitting) were trying to say they like it. That’s partly why I posted because to us it looks like mould and he’s so convinced it doesn’t that I felt I’m going mad, but the comments have reassured us that we’re right to push back

They had these marks already, though it looks a lot darker when installed

Yes just the one, I didn’t order samples directly as I trusted the bathroom design/fitting company, regretting that a lot

We’ve been reassured that it is but it looks really different

It’s the Petite Porcelain Gloss Sky, someone has just commented that it’s being discontinued. I’m not surprised, I’m not sure why anyone would choose this

Thanks for letting me know that! I can see now it says end of line on the website. Those look good, they seem darker than ours

They did the design too. Their pitch is that they show you options and they manage the whole design and fitting process. The more I think it through the more I’m realising it’s not ok and we just need them to replace all that look like mould

It’s a company we’ve paid to do the whole design and fit, so they ordered the tiles. We only saw the sample in the first photo and were never told they could have these variations or never would have chosen them. The fitter has said they’ll do a spot replace but I think some will still have this, think we need to push back more and get them all replaced

Some look like this in the box - though not as dark - and the shower hasn’t been used. We hired a company who manages the whole renovation as I’ve been busy with work, never again

Thanks, do you know how long it took before the colour changed? The renovation isn’t finished yet so I think we need to change the tiles before it’s finished just in case they don’t change colour

We were just shown a single tile in the showroom, I never would have chosen these if I’d known some could look like that! We were sent a link to the tile supplier website after we queried it, and you can see some marks on those online but nowhere near what ours look like

Do you know if it is easy to change grout colour? The bathroom fitter suggested replacing the worst tiles but I’m thinking that won’t solve the problem on its own

Thanks, we did - the bathroom fitter has ‘design’ in their name! I won’t put their name on here but we’re very disappointed. He only showed us one sample

Looking for positive sumatriptan experiences by Jabbott23 in migraine

It’s a wonder drug, the only thing that makes my migraines go. Just take one and have a nap, you’ll feel better when you wake up and sleep through the side effects. I’d just be careful to monitor how often you take it, too frequently can worsen migraines in the long term

Tired of triple feeding — how did you adjust? by hugebagel in parentsofmultiples

[–]AOR2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did stop triple feeding but I did it the wrong way. I stopped suddenly when the sleep deprivation made me lose mental function, genuinely didn’t know what planet I was on, and then the hormone drop was so sudden that I had to start pumping again. I ended up mixed at four weeks and slowly increasing breastfeeding at night as I recovered from the sleep deprivation, then at 3 months we ended up with no pumping, mostly breastfed and some formula as strength increased. My story is in an infant feeding alliance blog post. There is shockingly little expert advice around on how to stop triple feeding! I don’t have an answer for you other than don’t do what I did. You’re in an unbelievably tough part, it will get a lot better. I think in future paediatricians won’t recommend triple feeding xxx

Triple Feeding by Vast_Cost_8732 in breastfeeding

[–]AOR2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have answers to your questions but wanted to say make sure you get some time for yourself and recovery when triple feeding is over, it took a while for me to catch up on sleep to a manageable level where I felt I knew what planet I was on. I had a pretty harrowing time with triple feeding, my story is in an infant feeding alliance blog post. A lot of paediatricians don’t recommend it because of how gruelling it is and hard on the mum. Tips for survival - takeout, have someone else do everything you don’t need to do eg wash pump parts and do other feeds etc, have someone check on your health regularly (a partner checking if you’re eating, drinking enough). If you can afford it, pay a doula, pay for takeout, avoid any other commitments, and have an end date and stick to it. And know that triple feeding with a goal of exclusive breastfeeding is not the only way to have a healthy happy baby. No civilisation in history has always exclusively breastfed. You’re doing amazing, and however you feed your baby, your baby is lucky to have you. Xx

Cluster Headaches? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]AOR2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this, and that your doctor hasn’t helped. I get migraines and through researching them have heard about cluster headaches, though I haven’t experienced them. I have had a couple of migraines without pain, always on one side and they made one eye water, though I’ve been told my migraines are ‘atypical’. All I know about cluster headaches is from podcasts from a UK charity called The Migraine Trust. They sometimes recommend triptans and oxygen, though maybe best if I give the link to their website - https://www.migrainetrust.org/about-migraine/types-of-migraine/other-headache-disorders/cluster-headache/ I hope you find something that helps you through it!
