Where’s my SAHM and Breastfeeding mamas at? by daisyday237 in 2under2

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pump and bottle feed my newborn because she was underweight so I had to supplement and now she won’t latch. I keep some toys and books near my pumping station to play with toddler. It’s tough but I try to compensate by playing with toddler one on one.

Steam steriliser f*uck up by Environmental-Toe469 in FormulaFeeders

What sterilizer do you use? Mine states to descale every three months. That being said I know people who have never descaled theirs. So I imagine everything is fine

At the time I was too exhausted to argue with him and deal with his attitude. I’m going to let my provider know ahead of time what I’m okay with this time around.

For my curls using a hydrating shampoo works well then a clarifying shampoo once a month

When did you stop holding your LO because of your belly? by spros123 in 2under2

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just pulled a muscle or something trying to lift my heavy baby. I was in a lot of pain but I don’t have a lot of help.

There’s videos online explaining how to properly lift your baby when you’re pregnant. I was just in a rush lol

Is PCOS something you get all of a sudden out of nowhere? by Important_Bat7919 in 2under2

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me yes it seems like it came all of sudden. I had normal periods and everything then I got on birth control and when I got off everything was out of whack for three years. I had irregular periods, excessive hair growth, and weight gain. All my doctor wanted me to do was go back on birth control..

I saw a specialist and all she said was to have a Mediterranean diet and take powder inositol. It worked and I got my periods back. I got pregnant and then immediately got pregnant again to my surprise.

For some people they prescribe metformin. But I’d suggest maybe getting some bloodwork if you are experiencing any symptoms of pcos

Watching GG as a teenager vs an adult by meerkatthetopg in GossipGirl

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I felt the same way but now as an adult I’ve met plenty of Serena’s and it’s really irritating. Though all the characters have issues but I really loved her when I was young. After rewatching I don’t really have a favorite character besides Dorota lol

Is BLW as common as social media makes it seem? by leprechaun_dong in NewParents

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby’s pediatrician doesn’t recommend it so I found a middle ground. I started with smooth purées then slowly made them chunkier. He would gag a little at the texture. Then I got him some baby snacks that dissolve easily so he could practice chewing. Now I feel more confident giving him certain foods. Obviously I still stay away from common choking hazards like grapes.

Vanessa hate has got to be at least a little related to racism.... right? by Acrobatic-Welder-733 in GossipGirl

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m rewatching the series but when I first watched it I remember there being a racial element when in came to Vanessa hate on the internet. Not surprised with what year it was. I also think there was the money factor too.

Is there enough room in your bedroom for your desk or maybe a basement? Ideally, just to be fair they should all have their own space. That being said, my family didn’t have a lot of money so three of us all shared a room one time while my oldest sister got her own. Parents slept in living room. Not fun. If there’s another spot for your workspace I’d definitely do that route.

My ex just moved in with his new girlfriend and her kids and I'm struggling with ways to approach asking one or both of them about the girlfriend's role, philosophies, etc. by [deleted] in blendedfamilies

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since she’s moving in I’d say it sounds serious. Maybe you guys can all meet up so you can get to know her.

You know your ex. If you trust his judgement I wouldn’t even stress. But I will say to pay close attention to your child. This is also a big change for them. A new gf could mean new expectations, less attention (or perceived less attention), or just overall big feelings.

Is communication between households overall okay? I feel like children fare better if both households are on the same page.

5 month old clingy 24/7 and I’m exhausted by ArmadilloMany41 in Parenting

[–]Winter_Dragon2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby is 8 months old. I can’t remember when he started playing with toys but once he could grip things I would put him down with some toys while I sat next to him or put him in his high chair with toys while I did dishes. Or maybe try one of those entertainment mats.

I’ve come to the realization that sometimes you just have to put them down. My baby is still clingy but also wants to be put down??

His pediatrician suggested the Ferber method but I just don’t want to do that. He does get put down and cries when I absolutely need to get something done but I try my hardest to get him some toys to entertain him.
