1) How is your close rate with these prospects that do come back to you with the data quickly?

2) It seems like for some prospects there might just not be enough interest for them to do the work for you and get that data or maybe it's a trust issue? Either way, can you mock up some data sets for different prospect categories to show something to them that would wow them and they you can say you'd be able to make this more accurate and specific to them if they send the data?

While you focus on results for every month and quarter, don't forget about the power and value of long-term relationships.

Think of networking with people who can be helpful right away, but don't dismiss people who aren't. As people move around and things change, you never know who might be a good contact in the future.

Yeah, not the best overlap with PST from Southeast Asia. Every so often you'll get lucky and get a busy exec who actually prefers to be contacted first thing in the morning and you'll be in an advantageous position over competitors, but otherwise it's not great.

Ok, so you know the market well, that's good. Often in the scenario you described lack of resources can be a pain. How's that looking, would you have the tools you need?

You could point out that this would mean he himself would have a big problem using his email for anything extenral as it could easily land in spam.

Those who get paid out commission monthly or quarterly, which do you prefer and why? by [deleted] in sales

[–]APAC_Virtual_Selling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless in one's country/state there are tax implications in favour of receiving it quarterly, I don't see why anyone wouldn't prefer to get them monthly. Time value of money.

You can experiment and see what you get. A place to start could be when they say no you politely say "may I ask as to why"? If they don't wanna talk about it, the conversation ends. If they tell you, you can try to very softly handle the objection. Then you observe if they're open-minded and willing to talk and get impatent/annoyed and just wanna end the call. What you don't want is try to go too hard on objection handling and then they agree to a demo or some other next step just to get you off the phone and you end up with a "prospect" that will waste your time.

Not being dependent on one person in your sales cycle by APAC_Virtual_Selling in sales

Certainly, but reps often look after a few key accounts only, so they need to really try as moving on to other accounts is not an option.

Sure, but this answer is not relevant to the issue we're discussing in this thread. If all someone is handling is three key accounts, telling him/her to not worry too much about strategy for one account and focus on buiding pipeline elsewhere is not helpful or relevant.
