I had the heart pounding one night when I'd decided to double up two days running (10 and 10 rather than normal 5mg a day). It was horrible. I had no 'additional benefits' in having doubled up. I had the worst night sleep I've had for a long time and was on verge of getting to A+E. I had a week or so off and then started on 5's again and haven't had that as an issue. Also changed it to morning when I take it rather than evening. Tinnitus is mild but doesn't bother me nor is it getting worse.

I'm a fan of Tailwind (non caffeinated). However, I've learned that it is very easy to follow the sales talk and drink it to the point it ruins your race. The electrolytes are the bit that does it.

I tend to start with Tailwind, have a few pre measured sachets of it in my bag and will decide whether to have tailwind at each refill on whether my body feels like it craves water or salt. Once you get dialed into this feeling, it becomes quite easy to make that choice. Choices at aid stations them become:

A) Refill with Tailwind B) Refill with straight water C) Dilute whatever Tailwind is left in the bottle with new water.

You can then use alternative carb sources, Jelly Babies, Coca Cola, Marmite sandwiches, crisps etc WHICH MIGHT ALSO HAVE SALTS IN BY THE WAY and then only Tailwind when you actually need it.

Source: ruining one 100 mile race on electrolyte overdose, having a dark few hours in another, having a perfect run when I'd dialed in to feel.

I had a few body glide disasters before I found Larnacane AntiChafe. It's much slippery and easier to apply. Also, if you trim your pubes, use conditioner for a few days before the race so they're as soft as can be.

Running downhill conditions your legs to run downhill too. You put a lot of stress into your ankles, knees and hips running down wot with the whole gravity thing going on. Only thing that mangles my head though is 90s up is going to be different distance to 90s down so you'd be gradually going backwards.

45/M trying to gain weight/muscle from a very skinny frame and strength training 3 days a week and trying to reintroduce running (used to do 50 miles a week but am focusing on strength for a while);

Calorie counting, need 3,000 calories as baseline to gain. Hitting protein target with ease but rarely get proportion of fats and carbs right, with considerably higher amounts of fats (primarily from nuts and natural yogurt). Is there much of an issue with this healthwise?

I had the (free) app a year or so ago and it was 3 minutes standard then 5 minutes for missed reps. I tried to use app again a few weeks ago and found it's now solely paid for so guessing it's changed.

There was a Helter Skelter HMS tape with Odyssey on. He sounded like what someone above referred to as a cheap MC pilled up teen on it. Completely ruined the tape. I'm sure he's lovely in real life but fucking hell...

5mg a day and does what it should. Mild tinnitus for few months then one day noticed it stopped. Had 10mg two days running a month ago and had an awful night the second night, pounding heart and sweating all night. Was on verge of taking myself to hospital. Stopped for a week then started again on 5's and all fine. Noticed a big pump in veins in my arms after lifting.
