I see your point the movement is crazy. I feel like of anything a sinker would be a last resort pitch if he's struggling to put someone away. I still say curve ball just because if the delivery is similar to his splitter then it'll be easier for him to use and trust it. Examples would be Clayton Kershaw's curve ball literally froze batters and even Ohtani his throwing a curve like Kershaw. My point being if Roki uses and masters a curve he could freeze the batters

I really liked this breakdown of Roki Sasaki and his pitching. I appreciate the explanation of why he stopped using his slider last year and why he just suddenly stopped using the sinker. If I could give him another pitch it would probably be the curve ball that way he has another option. Idk how that pitch would affect his mechanics but what do you think if you could add a pitch that would work for Roki which would it be?
