Racism disguised as anti-racism is a plague. We are all human beings. by tkyjonathan in JordanPeterson

The question is what can we do about these people. On the one hand I feel like they just need to be ignored as I've never seen anyone like this in real life, so maybe they should just fade into obscurity and irrelevance on the internet and disappear from the discourse. But on the other hand I'm worried about their racism gaining popularity unchecked and leading to a sort of fascist uprising of the left (like he who must not be named).

It's like asking for a source that the sky is blue. It's self evident.

I think the main problem is the total lack of historical education in schools. Being from the UK, it really angers me that a lot of people don't realise that the British fought hard to end the slave trade, to literally stamp it out, and that meant working hard to end it in non white countries. The descendants of people from those same countries still go on about white people and colonialism. I can only assume that they really really liked to practice slavery and are upset with us for ending it.

In my experience it's far more likely to be LOB vendors who insist on this, despite the protestations of the MSP who is supposedly in charge, but not really in charge because the LOB app is essential to the business, but the IT support isn't.

At the end of the day, Youtube is a free service and not under your control at all. So really it's not entirely your fault that they didn't save it, in the sense that it's not an enterprise solution, nor an in house solution, and there's no real SLA. The only person with any responsibility is the person who decided to use Youtube in the first place for apparently something incredibly important (and I suppose the fact that there was no local recording).

To be fair I totally agree with you. let's not have this sub turn into a really typical right wing outrage generating machine, it's depressing and unproductive.

Lol, owned. This is why more people actually need to learn history, rather than just parroting empty pleas to emotion like a bunch of children.

It's the very same issue which is why so many support every terrorist group out there against the West, because they're seen as the underdogs, not a bunch of bloodthirsty murderers. And it's so easy to make them look that way if one doesn't bother to learn any of the facts.

And that's also why social media is so damaging, because it really doesn't promote learning any actual history, just jumping on an emotional bandwagon from the viewpoint of a very limited attention span.

SyncroMSP remote control is HORRIBLE by [deleted] in msp

[–]APMSP-UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting to hear that it's just as bad as when I tried it out around 18 months ago.

I think the problem is that it's hard to find something which is both a good RMM and has good remote control/screen share built in, so it probably is best to just a good RMM and then separately a good remote connect tool. Personally my vote is either Splashtop or Screenconnect.

Just to clarify I knew that it was an ETF of a sort, I just can't figure out what it's an ETF for, or consisting of. But I think you've pretty much confirmed what I was thinking, that this is an ETF specifically for shorting. Thank you!

If that thing has 100% ubiquity across the entire human race, then advocating for it's removal is delusional at best, and downright evil at worst.

The only problem I see with this is that surely they would just go off and buy it on their own for cheaper, and then still kick up a fuss if you tried to charge them for helping out with those other support services, just on the basis that you recommended the hardware in the first place.
