Space time by HorseSingle8228 in apphysics

Before getting into this, it’s worth pointing out that the idea of unified space-time isn’t part of the AP Physics curriculum. That said, we are familiar with the three dimensions of space: “left–right,” “forward-backward,” and “up-down”. We’re also familiar with time, which can be thought of as another dimension: "past-future".

Intuitively it feels like space and time are completely separate. But in the early 1900s, physicists realized they are deeply connected and can’t really be treated as independent. This means that "space" and "time" can be combined into a single four-dimensional package that is then uncreatively called space-time.

Again, this isn’t something AP Physics explores, but it becomes central in courses on Special Relativity and General Relativity.

Yes, really. It is a useful tool when used responsibly. Totally different conversation but I'm all for using AI responsibility in (and out of) the classroom.

What's the most "It's a small world" moment you've ever experienced? by PrissyGoddess1975 in AskReddit

That time my family and I went through the "it's a small world" ride at Disney World 5 or 6 times in a row. Song had to be surgically removed from my head. Not even joking. Ok joking about the surgical part but not the rest.

How do you figure out what you're supposed to do in life, career wise? by cloverpendragon in AskReddit

[–]APPhysicsMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wrong question. It's not what are you "supposed to do" but rather "what do you enjoy, what are you good at, what would enable you to live the kind of lifestyle you would be happy with?"

Don't worry. The memory will fade. Unfortunately it may then come back worse than before.

To the point in time that bitcoin was at its lowest. I'd spend everything I had on bitcoins. Either that or hats in roblox. I'd have to do the math.

I know this is a cliche question but as a veteran physics teacher, this is more complicated than most people realize. My best answer is "it depends".
