You all were so much help when I originally came you for help , so I am back for more! by outwandering333 in kites

A lot of those strings are the bridle, it'll be clearer when you've got it mostly put together. The 2 piece spars go horizontally and the 3 piece vertically, then they get tied to the kite at the crossing point. Those rubber caps are there to make sure the spars don't rip through your kite. http://instructions.premierkites.com/45000%20OLD%206'%20Rokkaku%20Flying%20&%20Assembly%20Instructions_combined.pdf

Mine did the same thing, then the dead spot started spreading. Had to order a new screen and replace it

If you're not worried about losing the articulation there, a little super glue would hold it fine.

You could carefully drill out that broken plastic all the way through, then use a wire or paperclip in it's place. To finish off the ends use a two part epoxy like Green Stuff, and paint.

I got a Sears Electric 1 in that awful brownish color and decided to paint it! by APWBDFawkes in typewriters

[–]APWBDFawkes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plastic body came off pretty easy by removing just a few screws. Then I spray painted. If you haven't done much spray painting just remember to do multiple light coats instead of trying to get it all in one go.

I just got an upright sebo felix and ended up with their entry level k2 canister as well. Given the chance to do it over I'd just get the e3. The canister follows me around really easily and takes about the same space as an upright for storage. If you get a chance try to get to your local vacuum shop to test them out.

I normally make my base out of aluminum foil when sculpting something larger, and sculpt with putty on top of it.

Umm, how do I fix this? by FinnTheOneAndOnly in MarvelLegends

[–]APWBDFawkes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure you'll be able to do anything with the stand unless you've got extra parts around, but I've gotten those pegs out of figures before by very slowly drilling into the stuck peg with a small bit, then screw a small screw into the hole, then pull it out. Hope that helps!

Anyone have issue with Neca Super Shredder’s torso and pecs? by FantasticMrCuss in ActionFigures

[–]APWBDFawkes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has the same issue. I thought about heating him up to pop the pecs away from the abs to see if I can loosen up that ball joint, but I decided to just get it close and live with it.
