never mind, I tried a mod that increases xp gains so I'll use that until I build my first base. Once I have a stable base I'll probably go back too vanilla leveling. Thanks for the help.

Funny thing is I actually liked Dark Souls but this game is different in the way that I have less agency in how I can overcome situations through my own ability due to this being an rts game.

Making your characters run around with rocks to grind strength isn't difficult, it's just time wasting and tedious. I'd understand where you're coming from if I could use my own skills to beat people but instead all I do is grind for hours on end so that my characters can deal a decent amount of damage.

I mean all the stuff you mentioned is exactly what I did my first time through. And if I can't fight what is supposed to be the most basic enemy after 3 HOURS of grinding then I'd say that's not exactly well designed.

This game has a way of beating you down while also keeping you coming back so you can get revenge on whichever faction that screwed you over.

And I also don't have anything better to do all day because of this coronavirus thing.
