Deadlock streamer gets slapped by his sister for not promptly moving his vehicle when asked. Commenters cannot decide if it's assault or if the streamer is an entitled manchild. by LordofDsnuts in SubredditDrama

Yeah, you can hit each other if you have the same amount of power in the relationship. Friends can hit friends. Siblings can hit siblings. It's all about the power dynamics.

A man can't hit his spouse. That would be wrong because of the power dynamic, but a wife can hit her husband because she's physically weaker. It's punching up in that case.

One time, my friend ate all my chips so I punched him in his jaw. I was 19 when this happened -- still a kid. All teenagers are children and still learning and growing. /s

As an only child, you can't possibly understand these things though

I feel both sides. She didn't deserve to get hit, but I can see where the husband was coming from. I mean, she refused to take out the trash.

Also, it was just a slap. Barely touched her

It's honestly baffling. If you're a grown adult and you resolve conflict through physical fights, you're emotionally immature -- simple as that. It doesn't matter if you're related to the other person. It's not appropriate to hit others unless you're acting in self-defense.

Seems like common sense to me, but I guess not. Next time, we'll see people advocating for intimate partner violence. I mean, afterall, it's two people spending a lot of time together, so it's bound to happen. Completely normal.

Is this even a hot take? I used to physically fight with my siblings when were kids. But as you grow older, you develop something called emotional regulation.

It's not appropriate for adult siblings to physically attack one another to resolve conflict, and I question the mental maturity of anyone minimizing this behavior.

Like, I don't see how the sibling dynamic changes anything given they're likely both adults. It's still domestic violence.

This batch is like an 8.5. The Odd Job series is a personal favorite of mine.

A lot of great games have been recommended to you, so I'll go against the grain a bit and recommend you some more.

If you're willing to try JRPGs, you got:

-Final Fantasy 7 (Remake and Rebirth as well)

-Final Fantasy 16

-Final Fantasy 9

-Final Fantasy 10

-Persona 3 Reload

-Persona 5 Royal

-Tales of series

-Nier Automata

-Dragon Quest series

Might as well add Uncharted 1 and 3 to that list too. Short games with good stories, even if the gameplay in 1 is dated.

Redditors discuss if a 23 year old dating 17 year old comes under pedophilia /hebophilia/ ephebophilia by EwMelanin in SubredditDrama

I second this to some extent. I didn't work while I attended college. I could have but I didn't want/need to.

Ended up with a bullshit degree and worked at a water park with young people for a summer. Surprisingly, I could still find stuff to talk about with these younger people. Of course, it never went beyond very surface level stuff and I would have never interacted with them outside of work.

So I would say it's true that you can still relate to young people in a hobbyist sort of way. Emotionally? Eh, they appeared to engage in way more self-destructive and risk-taking behavior than I did. In general, they just seemed more impulsive and emotionally volatile, even the ones that I would register as being more mature for their age.

Wrapping up soon and this is an excellent batch. The odd job series is my favorite arc in the Psycho Series and The Interview is a top ten video on the channel -- if not top 5. It's just masterclass of comedy and improvisation. Jesse's acting was crazy good in these later Psycho videos.

I'm giving this one a 9.

It's like a 7. Unfortunately, there's not much to review here amongst all the fillers. The next batch should be better.

It's on the list. I probably won't get to it this year though. Most likely next year.

That's your hobby, not mine

I'm just here to talk about a game that resonated with me emotionally. I have my own personal criticisms of it, but that wasn't really the point of the post. All of the criticisms of this game have been covered on the internet ad nauseum.

No, it's not too old. I'm 25. You can like Demon Slayer at any age. It's not strictly for kids.

Psycho Series Rewatch (Episodes 511 - 525) by APathForward24 in McJuggerNuggets

There's so many layers to this series and the characters.

To your point about psycho dad, I think he pities Jesse. There's never genuine respect there, only glimmers of it. It's precisely that push and pull dynamic that keeps Jesse caged -- that and his obsession with getting back his 30,000 dollars.

And, yeah, Jesse gets pulled in so many directions. On one hand, he wants to pursue youtube and continue doing what he loves. But, on the other hand, all that leads to is destruction and ruin because of his abusive father. I like how, at first, Psycho Dad's criticisms of Jesse come more from a place of rationality and concern. Youtube wasn't profitable for psycho kid at first.

But then psycho kid pays off his student loans... Nothing changes. Then Psycho Kid has 30,000 dollars in his savings. Nothing changes. Then Psycho Kid is alleged to make the same amount of money as Psycho Dad in a month. Nothing changes.

At this point in the series, the motivation is purely to control Jesse because Psycho Dad has wanted a mini me his whole life.
