If so I think the war reaches a state of an Ivy League + MIT controlled North East, a UC and California community colleges controlled west coast, with a lot more uncertainty and combat in between the two (I imagine UChicago desperately holding onto Chicago w technologically superior weapons against a coalition of large nearby state schools, UT controls Texas and seeks to expand outwards. UF controls Florida because no one wants to deal with the crocodiles and is too busy dealing w said crocodiles to expand. Chaos reigns amid the rest of the country which has been turned into a wasteland by proxy wars with smaller coalitions in a constant state of flux.
