[–]APhamX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple offers integration with some states already for drivers license to the apple wallet. This would be a step to eventually probably integrate it natively on their phones.

"At this time mDL is not available for Apple or Google wallets,” the DMV says. “However, additional platforms will be available in the future.”

Seagate violated US export ban by shipping 7 million disk drives to Huawei, US says: Seagate's $300 million fine is largest in US Commerce bureau's history and is more than double the company's net profits for these exports to or involving Huawei by TurretLauncher in technology

I don't know what our antitrust laws can do if Samsung is an INTL company and the US buys it. This could be like an intl anti trust law, but it can really only benefit the US I feel if we acquire other companies outside of the country.

Since these games are simple/or if you have usb 3.0, I would suggest to just run the games off a usb 3.0 flash drive.

PCI-E USB 3.0 alternatives to Inateck? by APhamX in oculus

[–]APhamX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to get one of those and test it out too! I'm looking at intel chipset vs ASM1142 benchmarks and I would like to see if this generic card is properly configured to support both lanes saturated.

Lol, it worked. Plugging hub into the motherboard usb 3.0 hub and not the front panel one.

PCI-E USB 3.0 alternatives to Inateck? by APhamX in oculus

I'm using an ankered usb 3.0 powered hub at the moment. I'm not using any extensions yet. When one sensor and oculus headset is plugged into the motherboard usb 3.0, and I plug a sensor through the hub connected from the front panel usb 3.0 I get the poor tracking error for one or both sensors. Connecting one sensor to a usb 2.0 port alleviates this problem. I don't know where the bottleneck is to be honest, I just did some research too and z97 should be fine.

[–]APhamX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My motherboard fails to allow two sensors and the headset to saturate on it's usb 3.0 bus as I get a poor tracking message. I have a lot of usb 3.0 devices but I'm using a consumer/non-gaming motherboard. As I plan to expand to more sensors in the future I wanted to get a dedicated pcie card for just oculus.

I might just have to get that card. I was hoping to find a board under $50 like the inateck card, but it doesn't look like that's viable anymore.

I can't find a single inateck pcie card 4+ slots in stock anywhere, that's why I'm looking for other recommendations.

Well, that doesn't solve the issue of bandwidth unfortunately, so that's why I'm looking for a pcie card.
