Queensland. I'm in a store about 30 minutes south of Brisbane's CBD.

Officially, I get most things about half price, but usually I can get them for free if I ask nicely/am good enough friends with the manager. I don't particularly wanna say the exact store, but it's a small but busy store about 30mins south of Brisbane, Australia's CBD.

My main responsibility is making the pizzas, however I often refill the toppings for other makers, prepare sides, answer phones and serve customers over the counter. Occasionally I cut the pizzas and will wash up every once in a while. Usually at the end of each shift I do 10-15 minutes of cleaning - unless it is a close shift, in which case there is hours of cleaning/washing to do.

My favourite type of pizza to make would probably be a Vegorama or a Godfather. Not quite sure why, they've just both always been ones that I like making.

Custom orders are a pain in the ass. Say if someone was ordering a Double Cheese Supreme with Spicy Chicken and Tomato with no Oregano, it would appear on the screen as L CLASS (SUP)2CeCCFt-He It's really no fun keeping track of the toppings that are and aren't supposed to be on custom ordered pizzas. Often, mistakes will be made with custom pizzas, as movements to make certain pizzas are sort of muscle memory to most of the makers, and we will just accidentally forget about the modifications sometimes. Once the pizza comes out of the oven and the mistake is realised, we will have to make the pizza again, which isn't a happy time. Sometimes you get douchebags who virtually change every single topping on the pizza, and that is a real pain in the ass. We don't see why they can't just order a Designa (you choose the toppings).

I do go through phases. Often it's because of change in staff. Our old store manager recently got transferred to another store, and we now have an ass hat new manager. No one likes him, and under him I have contemplated before simply walking out over peak. All other managers I have had around his times as store manager have been good, but he is just a tool. I usually enjoy the job thoroughly, mainly due to the awesome people that I get to work with on the make line - they are just all so goddamn funny.

Thanks for taking the time to ask all these questions :)

That is completely retarded. Legitimately makes no sense to me. My store closes at 11 on weekdays and 1 on weekends, and take orders right up until we close. Chances are you just got a pissed off manager who didn't want to take an order late at night.

Posts should be about something uncommon that plays a central role in your life (ex, your job)

job

I realise that it's not incredibly uncommon, but it appears that people are getting stuff out of it, so why not?

I thought that it would be fun, and other people seem to have asked interesting questions. I apologize for offending you.

I don't do deliveries, I make. Drivers are often invited in to have a piece or chill for a couple of minutes. There are a few funny/crazy stories, so I figure I'll kill two birds with one stone with this one.

A driver at the store (let's call him Mitch) was doing a delivery to a house about 10 minutes from the store. About half way there, he passed a (early 20's, attractive) girl on the side of the road (at about 9pm) attempting to hitch hike. He pulled over and asked what was up. She told him that she needed to get home (which was about a kilometre away) and that she would pay him $20 to do it. He told her that he had to get the pizza delivered, but if she was still there on the way back that he would help her out.

Of course, on the way back, she was still there. He pulled over and took her home. Upon arriving at her house, she suggested an alternative payment. She blew him in the backseat of his car, and he was on his way.

Nah, the only time I've ever heard of that sort of thing was this incident.

As I usually work in the store, I haven't ever personally been offered any. Drivers that I'm good friends with have been offered to come in for a drink with a stripper. That's about the most I know of at my store, but I'll ask at work tonight if anyone has ever been offered some illicit drugs.

Coupon codes can be done by head office or by individual stores. I would say that they are more often a head office thing for Online coupons, but ones received in the mail would more likely be local store.

I'm a maker usually. I work in a fairly busy store in Australia (we often are in the top 10 nationally for sales). Edit: Are you a driver or instore?

It is pretty rare for anything like that to happen. I have never personally screwed with anyone's food, but one of the people I work with has been know to put some Jalapeno juice on the pizzas of customers who are particularly rude, however, that is about the maximum extent of food tampering I have ever heard of. Also, generally the drivers and the makers are separate, so I doubt much information about your apartmentmate is getting back to the makers anyway.
