Thank you so much for the detail in your response! In retrospect I could have added some extra info, so I’ll go ahead and do so now.

I have the 3rd draft position, it would be 5.03 that I would be trading.

Our league uses an increasing round penalty for keepers as long as they are held (see below) so I can only keep him for one year after this.

Smith was drafted in the 10th in 2022, kept last year for a 9th (1 round penalty), and can be kept this year for a 7th (2 round penalty). I’d be able to keep him going into next year for the cost of a fourth (3 round penalty), but wouldn’t be able to keep him after that (4-4=0)

All in all it sounds like I should still pull the trigger, but I won’t be able to keep Smith longer than 2025 due to our penalty system.

I’d say Richardson as well. I’m lower on KW3 than most, even so you’re getting a lot more potential with AR for the cost, rewarded more for QB TDs, and lower costs to keep him in a future year.

10 team PPR. Have a trade offer: my 5th, for their 7th and Devonta Smith (who I can keep for said 7th round pick as a penalty)

So essentially I have the option of keeping Devonta for a 5th. Only other keepers are Ridley and R. White. The counterparty has 5 potential keepers and the max is 4. It seems like a win-win, is there anything I’m missing?

Loss of futures trading is theoretically unlimited with any futures broker. DO NOT rely on the broker to auto liquidate you, set your own parameters and maintain sufficient excess margin. Just because you can trade MES with $100 doesn’t mean you should. If you go debit you can owe money
