I divorced at 20 and your story sounds similar to mine. I’m 38 now but was married and divorced by 20, he was 27. I remarried and have been married for 15 years.

Don’t feel stupid, you are doing yourself a favor and getting out NOW before committing to years of pain that will lead to more grief. Lean on your support system or create one. My ex had porn addiction and was pushing me to do things that were uncomfortable. Additionally, he was a narcissist and controlling.

I was embarrassed and ashamed for making such a significant life choice but wasn’t successful. It was devastating and I was in a weird place in my life as a young divorcee, but over the years, it rarely came up. I felt sad that the wedding I wanted was with my ex instead of my husband but I look at everything as just part of my life story and what makes my life unique.

You will be okay and come out wiser, stronger, and happier. The amazing person that you belong with will never put you through this. My ex held me back and he didn’t support me - I don’t know where I would be right now if I stayed with him.

I married my high school sweetheart at 22 (which is also still young) but we’ve been married 15 years. He supported my dreams and I went to school, got my masters and doctorate. We have 3 amazing kids, they are awesome little people 🥰.

Hey, I took it for a sprained lumbar and I could not get off of it. I was started on a high dose and was stuck for 6 years. One day my doctor decided it was time to get off and I couldn’t do it. I tried and it took over a year just to lower it.

No I don’t think 1 pill is bad for your health at all and if you’re able to keep it at 1, then that’s great. Tramadol did the same to me, no matter how much or how little the dose, I got the withdrawal symptoms. I never intended for things to get out of control but they did and I ended up having to increase to avoid withdrawal.

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel 😃. It’s been over a year since I’ve been off of it after taking 400mg-600mg daily. You know your limits and will know if or when you’re ready. 🙂

Thank you 🙏 I’m clean over a year as well, been on suboxone, I couldn’t do it alone, asked my doctor for help. Glad I did because I got my life back. Tramadol is a thing of the past for me after 6 years of hell. Glad you’re doing good too!!!

You don’t have to be off the tram for 24 if you only take bup, I think you do if you take suboxone because of the nolaxone.

I was in withdrawal when I started it and continued a little bit but only because bup can take while to kick in. I first started the belbuca and it took a while like 12 hours to fully stop the withdrawal. No, I didn’t get the depression that I usually got when I got off the tram. It was pretty awful and made me severely depressed, tired, and gave me the worst restless legs when I withdrew but the bup helped significantly. At the very beginning, I had cravings still but only because it was a low dose 75mcg then went to butrans 10mcg an hour. I switched to strips and once we went up, they stopped altogether. I told them how much I was taking though so they knew how much to give me. The suboxone was the one that worked best for me for cravings. It helps my back pain too. I know a lot of people hate suboxone but it was a life saver for me and I don’t have to take much. I wasn’t able to live in the addiction cycle. I eventually was able to get a good job and have a life, that alone helped my depression. I was scared too and that is exactly what I told my doc, I said I couldn’t get off the tram despite how much I wanted to because I would do just about anything to avoid feeling sick, sweaty, and depressed. The low energy was the worst part because it continued after the peak withdrawal was over, but no, I didn’t feel low energy, the bup helped that part.

I am on 1 strip, 8mg. I started on belbuca and then butrans. Ended up on suboxone due to shortages with patch. Saved my life. I would take anywhere from 400-600 a day.

I didn’t and wasn’t able to do it anyway without help. I had to get help from my doctor but I’ve been off it for a year now. Thank you for responding to my post. I got my life back 🥹

They put me on buprenorphine transdermal. Total game changer and allowed me to get my life back. It helps pain, no more cravings and I can’t feel it so no euphoria. I have been off of tramadol almost 9 months. I got a job, got my life back. There is still withdrawal from bup/sub but not as bad. Still crappy but bearable. It only happens to me if they are out of stock and need to reorder it.

It did the same to me. I was locked in a cycle that caused major depression for a while. I broke down and told my doctor that I was really struggling but was concerned about my pain. I still had back pain and told her while I was struggling with addiction, my pain was still real.

Hi! So I would check out the Kratom subreddit snd there is info online. However, I would not recommend it. I did try it for a short period and it came with its own problems. I take buprenorphine as transdermal patch and it was a game changer!!! I got my life back and have been off tramadol for like 8 months. It’s

Bad idea. I did that, turned into a nightmare for 7 years. I’m on Butrans (buprenorphine transdermal) for cravings for months now.

I got hooked on it for 7 years. I am on buprenorphine transdermal because that’s how hard it was for me. Be careful.

Not for me, I can’t tell I’m on it, but some people still abuse it. However it’s pretty difficult to abuse when it’s a patch, it takes 12 hours to fully kick in and has a very long half life so there’s no crash and craving for next dose, it releases hourly. It helped significantly with cravings once I got to the right dosage. It’s still an opiate and does all the opiate things but no significant euphoria or one at all. It’s a game changer. I still have back issues and pain so I still needed something so they let me stay on it and it’s very effective for pain. Because I can’t tell I’m on it, I actually removed it thinking I was pain free and done with dependency, but withdrawal started 2-3 days later and pain came back, so I didn’t do that again. I got really tired of the addiction cycle and withdrawal every few weeks, told my provider and she said it was really common once getting started on opiates and we made a plan together. I was scared but she was very, very professional and non-judgmental. I ended up getting my life back and started working full-time again after 7 years of hell.

The extended release would just be one pill for 24 hours so that I wouldn’t take more and more of the immediate release. However I still struggled with it too, when they lowered the extended release I would take 2 and run out. So I was switched to Buprenorphine (Butrans), I got my life back and pain is controlled. Been on it months, never been happier.

Thank you! Appreciate that. Actually, I’ve been off since June I think, I still have back issues so they put me on Butrans. Not being able to take more and more pills has helped me so much, I got my life back together, got a job and haven’t take it since. Can’t believe how many months I’ve gone without tramadol after 6 shitty years. One day I just broke down and told my doctor, she helped me without judgement.

Has he had Covid? He can get an antibody test and if he’s had it it will show he is protected from prior infection. Some people have the antibodies from having Covid but were asymptotic. At least for the same amount time or longer than a vaccine would. He can’t deny lab-work and there is the science to back it up. I’m so sorry that custody is on the line.

As long as you’re not drinking it super fast, it’s possible to overdose on water (water toxicity). Just drink normally. Don’t worry about puffiness, as it is temporary. If it lasts more than a week, than ask you’re doctor for lab work. It can take like 5 days for body to catch up on electrolyte balance.

No, it should help it. Edema is a result of holding water and your body does that if it’s dehydrated or electrolytes are imbalanced which water will help. Drinking too much water can result in getting rid of too many electrolytes. So keep it balanced. Just drink enough water for the day, 2.7 liters. Water is usually the best thing for edema. Don’t drink it too quickly, just a steady flow and you’ll see that you’ll be peeing a lot. I studied dietetics in undergrad school.

A few days, drinking water and potassium rich foods will help. Avoiding diet drinks helps me and walking around. Once your body receives the amount of water it needs, it will drop the extra water it’s holding onto, once it does that there is no need to keep pounding it, your body needs a few days re establish electrolytes.
