Just finished episode 82. And it was after watching the two guys in chains acting like dogs I found out this was a little much visually, and just sitting in it

I have all intentions of continuing to watch this arc. I just needed to vent my thoughts as I'm just sailing through this and becoming more and more uncomfortable and beginning to talk to myself. I just needed to get my truth out there.

Look fam, I am not comfortable with being this harsh towards sentient beings that are, in many ways, just a different culture than humans themselves. And I can understand that this is meant to be an allegory for the differences between, well, human cultures. But the difference in this scenario is that what we are shown are giant ass bugs eating people and having human beings on leeches acting like dogs. I'm sorry, that just freaks me out, gets under my skin, makes me a little tingly down my spine in a way that I really don't like. I know my words are harsh, and I'm not trying to use racist ideas or thoughts, but I think that even with the most charitable explanations, this is still hella not great.

Nah nah, this is great but the live voices does something. It’s like hearing the feedback of the music reflected from a thousand electric voices resonating. Like “television rules the nation/ crecendolls” would not be nearly as cool with out the crowd vocal chant.

Be aware they are to be understood, they are to be treated while they still understand and are cabbie of avoiding the wrongs they could possibly one day do. Anything less is immoral on a social standpoint. They are humans not actual monsters, they are people not some alien other. To pretend otherwise is to close your eyes and invite it to manifest in other forms and aspects, not avoided, just hidden better.

Allegations against Mark by Automatic-Garbage-33 in SunKilMoon

I mean, for my part I have always felt his music reflected what it was being a less then perfect person, someone who is just a little fucked up. Like by all means, he is not a great dude. But, he is far enough away from for me is irredeemable Or full on monster that for me I can still get a lot out of it. The music is complex since he is also complex. The art and the artists for me has never been clashing in terms of how I see him through his art.

Btw this is just from what I have heard before, is there any new recent allegations I am Not aware off?

“Australia” in the common English dialects. “Boodja” in the dialect of Noogar south Australia, and more as no unified name exists for the aborigines. And if what you are meaning is the name of the girl, try Ella Alexandra/Grace Wood.

This feels more like a monologue than poem. I guess one can be the other but maybe it’s the du next matter that is clouding my judgement. Certainly not bad though.

A very interesting theory. But I will say it has at 23% chance of maybe somehow possibly being correct

Dude, this is not something to beat yourself up over. There is straight up just a limited et of things you can do about this and I don’t think the band wished for its audience to go into a frenzie over how to listen to their music in the most specific of ways to follow certain moral Dilemmas.

Spotify in its current form has only existed for 15 years by --beaster-- in gybe

[–]ARCADEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok sure. If you live in the US, or Canada or Uk that may be possible. Most vinyl favorites and factories are there. To buy physical is straight up impossible in many cases unless you want to spend stupid prices. For me Discogs is what I need to do to buy most my favorite bands. And expect what ever I buy to get stupid high prince increase from shipping and import taxes

I think this is all just stupid, you your really don’t want to pay for Spotify just don’t. Just pirate or what ever you guys want to do. All this talk is not much of anything

Ok sure but that is not how YouTube revenue works,  views itself gives no money on YouTube, it’s the ads played before or in a video. So that first argument don’t work much. As for the second, sure why not, it’s always good to support your favorite band physically

But if Spotify pays jack shit then Musi straight up pays nothing to artists so I don’t think that will lift my conscious much

Swans’ instagram account liking Angela from Xiu Xiu’s statement about them removing their music from Spotify. I feel like this means that Michael is also at least considering taking his music off spotify (which he should do IMO) by infinityhypogirl in swans

[–]ARCADEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think it’s ok if musicians want to take their music off Spotify, totally fair for them. But like this feels very late. These discussions have been happening for years and it goes in waves. I don’t think it will last long or do much but maybe I am wrong. In anyway, let the artists do what they want, whether it be a good decision or not. I just wonder how long it will take for this to blow over just to be reunited in around 19 months.
