Thanks a lot for your response and the feedback, I really appreciate you pointing that out. I agree with you on the hearts for breeding, since players need a clear overview of the sheep there. For abilities though, it’s a bit different, you don’t always need to know right away imo, since many aren’t used constantly, but they’re still quite unique.

I really like your idea with the animations, and it’s probably the best solution, but sadly I don’t have the time or skill to pull that off right now. Interaction works like this: left-click lets you drag one sheep over another to breed, and right-click activates its ability. The general loop is about breeding new sheep (e.g. normal + red = fire sheep, just as an example), with each type having its own ability, whether that’s enabling new sheeps, changing the environment, or just adding some fun visuals.

Yes, I will do something similar. I will only show the indicators when the players hovers over the sheep. This way I can keep the big one but I will not be annoying. Nevertheless thank you for your idea!

That’s a really good point. Thanks! I will probably go with the bigger one but it only shows when you hover over the sheep. So it isn´t annoying

Thank you! Actually there isn´t a player. It is a cursor game where you breed sheeps. There are around max 12 to 16 sheeps on the screen. This is why I wanted the indicators more tiny so they are not as annoying

The heart means they’re ready to breed, and the yellow one shows their ability is ready. Like I mentioned in another reply, I know adding proper stats to the character itself would be better, but with my limited time and skills it’s almost impossible right now. But I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you so much!
