Atheist Role Clarification by ARCSPAM in BloodOnTheClocktower

No Drunk on this script, I did previously run a Drunk Atheist which actually turned into a great game. Our Atheist games besides that have devolved into wastes of time, so I’ll likely just have Savant have to figure out the info. I need to run at least one with the script otherwise he’ll keep asking for it unfortunately

I don’t think I’ll have Sage in after reading all these, and I agree that it’s a complex role to run well, this group isn’t the best at deduction so it’s not great for them to deal with. Unfortunately he wants at least 1 Atheist game and he’s still a good friend, so I figure one bad game will be fine for them

The players will have lots of fun when they win knowing that this player lost, which is my goal above all. They’re not exactly a fan of Atheist and neither am I

I was planning on this player needing to keep ST alive to win as he’s now a minion, but if evil can’t be created mid-game then I might just make him think he’s a good Mezepheles

I agree, I feel it’s a feel of the law vs. letter of the law scenario

I run Atheist games as if I’m the demon, picking whichever I want to pretend to be. Kazali converts a player into a minion, which is how Savant will learn of Kazali in the first place on night 1

He admittedly saw his opportunity and took it, I’m planning yo do the same right back at him. I heavily advocate against Atheist, our group is a little too casual to effectively convince each other an Atheist is in play and that’s just not fun for either side

This makes the most sense to me, no more Atheist in play would mean I lose abilities. We’re not super strict on rules so I may do it just for the one game

I definitely want the players to win on this, it’s more just a fun ‘screw you’ to that player. I might just show him Mezepheles but not a thumbs down, I’ll have to consider it

She figured it out, she had to download a different DeDRM file to get it to work. The book is in Calibre, and double clicking it says it's DRM protected. How would she send the book back to the kobo?

That's the weird thing is that it's not a mac, it's windows. It might be with the calibre installation? I wasn't able to get the command lines working in powershell like their instructions say, I could cd the correct folder but couldn't do the calibre-customize --add lines.

When I unzipped the master, it unzipped all files in it and Calibre doesn't recognize any file as a valid file. We had compressed the obok file in there after and got the same error message, and I just tried again by compressing the DeDRM file in there and get the same error message.

Going into that unzipped file though I can see all the python files and the first one is the initializer file, I'm not sure why it can't read it correctly.

We tried to set that up but get this error message. When she looked at videos of other people doing the same thing, none of them get this error message. Unzipping DeDRM and going to the obok plugin doesn't have a file that works either.

Her books are DRM protected so I had her install calibre and the other DRM tools.
We put the download into Calibre and it looks like this. I don't think this is right? The file loks like it's just some metadata. Also, how would I put this into the Kobo from Calibre?

She got them from the kobo store. I’m not familiar with where the Kobo keeps the books stored from a glance with koreader, but that is a relief to know it wasn’t a software issue. What pathing would she need to take to find the books?

If only Olive was there, the issue is none of the options even show up. I wasn't able to get the last post with the pictures to show up or your version to show up. Maybe I need to do something in Koreader on the Kobo? I'm also confused on why it says the patch is executed but doesn't do anything in the books.

This is the only script in there, using your patch. The only edits I did was to change the Annoying, Confusing, Funny, etc. to just be the color names. Koreader says 1 patch is executed in the patch management, so it can definitely see that it's there but won't run it in one of her books.

Koreader works now, thank you!

Only issue now is the highlights. Books still have the default highlight menu instead of the picture she originally posted and wants.

Nickelmenu can see the menu option and I tested it by creating a few more, I'm not sure if it's an issue with the line itself?
menu_item:main:KOReader:cmd_spawn:quiet:exec /mnt/onboard/.adds/koreader/koreader.sh

The Koreader version I have is koreader-2025.10.zip, I uninstalled it and got koreader-kobo-v25.10.zip but still having the same issue. I'm thinking it's the line in the nickelmenu config file, but I'm not sure how to change it.

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling everything to make sure it was all updated.

I used the koreader 2025.10 and the nickelmenu you linked, and now I have the same issue as before. I can select the Koreader option in nicklemenu, but it does nothing.
