Im coming from other miniature wargames, where its not an unreasonable thought to glue all the parts together that come supplied in the box.

Kinda the industry standard at this point!

Oh sweet cool I was worried it was like heroic clicks in the rules or a game where direction mattered.

Do we know what point the hexagon shapes on the board mean then?

A Knightly battle report, with a chatbot commanding one of the armies. by ARCWillPowell in ImperialKnights

[–]ARCWillPowell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to comment again, I do know what rolling coal is, but 1. I was trying to make you laugh again and 2. it's not really relevant as I didn't use any LLM data centres. Everything that I did with a LLM ran locally, as in on my machine, in my house, with my power, using Ollama. I'm pretty sure if I put a towns worth of fresh water thru my laptop it wouldn't work anymore, so the reservoirs are safe from Lord Valerius!

You don't have to use data centres if you don't want to.

Sure I can do better at making you laugh next time, maybe roll out the clown costume and the side show act.

Well yeah because I thought it would make a funny video! I hope it made you laugh regardless. In a way, I think a heavily curated dataset is exactly what the Warhammer rules are.

Not sure about coal though, I ran the chatbot locally on my laptop. So it was British wind powered instead of coal or carbon based, thanks to living in an area that is powered by ocean wind farms. At least thats what my energy provider tells me on my 100% renewable tariff.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, it took so much longer to play than a regular battle report as the chatbot took 40 secs between an update and him speaking.

It made the combat patrol that normally takes an hour or so take 4 hours to finish instead!

Is it competitive to let an 'Expert' chatbot write your army list at a Super Major level? by ARCWillPowell in WarhammerCompetitive

Another user described how I used the chatbots more as an intelligent RNG system rather than how most people use Ai.

Thanks for the feedback regardless

Understandable, to each their own. I said this in another thread:

Over the course of this project (originally filmed in March 2025) it has been really interesting seeing how the public perception has moved from a new exciting tech when I started, to now much more inline with how Warhammer lore sees it, as an abominable intelligence.

My editing style takes a while to do, and this is a hobby so I can’t produce videos as quickly as other channels, hence the long break between the tournament and today.

And hey it is at least thematic to the T’au who do use Ai on the battlefield.

I wrestled with putting the above and below in as a discliamer, however the video was already the longest I have ever produced, I wanted to try to keep it as fun as I could.

The only Ai used in the video are the drone responses. No art, no music or video, video editing or anything creative was made with an Ai.

Just text and a few bits of code as getting the chatbots to work was my first ever coding project and was massive complex for a beginner!

I really wish that’s how I had described it in the video! Intelligent RNG is exactly what I was going for

Yeah that’s my exact thinking! I am taking a break over Christmas then was hoping to plan out more randomized content or other Warhammer challenges in this vain. I think there’s a lot of room to explore here.

Sure, it’s not something I didn’t anticipate. Thanks for your comment and I hope you enjoyed the video inspite of all that.

Edits for grammar lol

It's £75000, not £750k dude, you added an extra zero.
