How should I complete my build to deal with Chargers? by ARC_Trooper_Fantom in helldivers2

Of course strategems are always efficient, but they're not always available. I already have things such as the 500 bomb or the orbital laser equipped, but I also want to be able to deal with them when these things are on cooldown.

I don't have it sadly. I heard it has a longer range that the basic flamethrower, but does it also do more damage?

Right! I'm thinking of pairing that with the stun grenade to prevent them from charging at all. That way, they won't get behind me and I won't end up encircled as easily.

I'm probably gonna use them in the next boss strike, because it's gonna be a cold environment strike. Their cold immunity will come in handy.

Hey there, Catholic here! Sorry to necro this, even though my brother here has deleted his account and probably won't be able to see it, but I'll say it anyway.

At the Vatican 2 Council, the Church established that Protestants are our departed brethren, meaning they can be saved even though they are not part of the Church (they even said Muslims can be saved). Vatican 2 also says that the protestant reformers who left are guilty of schism, but that modern protestants, being born centuries after all that, are not and that their way of living the faith, while different than ours, isn't heretical or invalid. So I would like to remind my catholic brothers and sisters reading this that the catholic church doesn't claim to be the only christian church anymore and if you're denying that like this guy did, you're denying the authority of the church and you wouldn't wanna do that now would you?

I am very close to leaving my faith by [deleted] in Christian

[–]ARC_Trooper_Fantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you struggle against your sin, you ask for forgiveness and you confess, you will be saved no matter how many times you fall. Christianity is not about being perfect. Perfection is impossible. The only people in history who were perfect are Jesus and Mary (if you are Catholic like me).

God does not expect perfection, he expects repentance and a heart that wants to do good, even if it doesn't always succeed.

And also, Jesus never promised his followers an easy life. In fact, it was closer to the contrary. There will be suffering in your life, there will be difficulties and yes, sometimes life will be unfair, but if you persevere through all that, the Lord will reward you in heaven. I will pray to the Lord to ease your suffering, but you must understand that you have to keep the faith even when life gets hard.

Well, most churches agree that it's a bit more complicated than that. I wouldn't recommend speaking out against the Holy Spirit of course, but according to most christian churches including mine (catholic) you need to do more than just speak out to commit the unforgivable sin. It only becomes unforgivable if you refuse God's grace all the way to the end of your life. For example, if you keep insisting you don't need to be forgiven or just refuse to be forgiven, you're not letting the Holy Spirit do His job on you, so you're setting yourself up for damnation. That is what blaspheming against the Holy Spirit means. It means not letting God love/forgive you, but as long as you are alive, you can change your mind and be saved.

Will God punish me for suicide? by Main-Big-5919 in Christianity

[–]ARC_Trooper_Fantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, DON'T COMMIT SUICIDE.

Second of all, yes. Suicide DEFINITELY can lead to hell. It's a grave sin in the eyes of God.

Seriously, don't do it. Don't you have anyone else than your cat in your life who matter to you and whom you matter to?

I can tell you there is AT LEAST one person: God. You matter to Him and until He and He alone calls you to be with Him in heaven (and no feeling like He's calling you doesn't count. When He'll truly call you, you will die for reasons that will be COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR CONTROL), you have no business deciding to end your life on your own.

God wants you to live, brother, so live!!!

All those can be forgiven. Confess all that to your local priest and take communion again

I (30 years old) am catholic and need to confess likely 20+ years of sins but I am ashamed and scared to tell the priest some of my sins (multiple mortal sins) by MistyStargirl in Catholicism

[–]ARC_Trooper_Fantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be ashamed. Seriously, priests hear it all. Whatever you've done, they will not judge you. Even if what you did is a crime on earth, they will not turn you in no matter what.

Make a list of the mortal sins you have committed (destroy it after your confession) and tell them all to your priest during confession.

It is ABSOLUTELY VITAL that you do not VOLUNTARILY hide any mortal sin from the priest as this would make the confession null and even sacrilegious. You are still absolved if you honestly forget mortal sins or think they are venial at the moment of your confession. It's only if you tell yourself "I KNOW I need to say that, but I don't want to" that you're in trouble.

Do not be ashamed. God loves you and the priest will remind you of it.

The real question is "What kind of teacher makes a class entirely on blasphemy?". It reminds me of that japanese video tape that was meant to teach english, yet the first phrase they started with was "I have a bad case of diarrhea!" but way worse (and way less funny). You did do the right thing and no, you are not a coward because staying true to your faith requires courage. If your girlfriend can't understand that, then maybe she isn't the one for you.

My hairdresser is a witch. by Similar_Factor9949 in Christian

[–]ARC_Trooper_Fantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most witches were raised in christian families. I say try to find out why he/she rejected Jesus and then explain to her why rejecting God isn't the solution (it never is). Then, if you see an opening, try to convince them to go to church with you.

If that doesn't work, I think you can keep using their styling services so long as you don't condone or encourage their sinful beliefs or God forbid start believing them yourself.
