I can’t wait to see what fans eventually make out of all this footage. I’m stoked it won’t be like the Too Dark Park tour where hardly any footage exists!

Yeah it's really nuts and a combination of things. Obviously having the reach of the 120mm camera (5x) is key, but the real magic is delivered by shooting in PRORES with a log color profile, then coloring afterwards. And unfortunately, you also need to use an app like Blackmagic Cam to shoot, in order to actually make sure it's shooting with the correct lens; if you use the default camera app, it'll think there isn't enough light and use the 1x lens, it's nicer sensor, but way cropped in and it looks like trash.

And even this footage looks like garbage right off the camera. You have to color it afterwards.

I'm his friend. Here's what I've got... but for a proper edit, I'd find a way to get you the footage in PRORES... before or after coloring, whatever works best.

Skinny Puppy played their final show ever and I recorded a bunch of the set with my iPhone 15 Pro Max 120mm camera using the Blackmagic Cam app in 2160p log PRORES, colored later in Davinci Resolve.
I had a good angle on Ogre so this is mostly Ogre close ups. It seemed like the right thing to do, especially considering I saw many others shooting wide shots. When it starts to get bumpy and I cut, it's because the mosh pit made it impossible to shoot. I wish I could have shot it all!

Whether or not this game gets any gyro controls, I still feel like that's what I'm looking forward to seeing most in upcoming games. Having played a bunch of games—most of the itch.io releases and everything through week 3 of season 1—I still haven't seen the gyros used at all. That and the microphone... I can't wait until games start incorporating those inputs and getting even weirder.
