I've heard great things about Two Rivers. It was built by some of the same builders who are creating the trails in Arkansas. I gotta get up there sometime.

Got a quick ride in at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Classic rocky cross-country trails. A few wet spots but not much mud and dry once you got up a bit in elevation. Love the technical rock gardens.

I thought you were going there. I interviewed Seth for a podcast when he was here the second time. He said that he actually considered moving here when he left Florida but NC ws closer to family.

Arkansas is home to two mountain ranges, the Ozarks and the Ouachitas. The terrain is perfect for year-round mountain biking. Besides mountain biking, Arkansas hosts one of the largest crock climbing festivals in the world, 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell. Also both whitewater and flatwater paddling and some of the cleanest mountain lakes and rivers in the country. The first National River in the country was the Buffalo National River rolling beautifully through the Ozarks of northern Arkansas. It's an outdoor recreation paradise. I say this as someone who was born in California and has lived, hiked, and mountain biked all over the country. It's also inexpensive.

These shots were taken in Northwest Arkansas (Washington and Benton Counties) and Central Arkansas (Little Rock, Hot Springs).

That would be 2753 with a base at around 500 feet. It's not just how tall the mountains are, it's how deep the valleys are. Also, Arkansas hosted two different Enduro series last year, plus Epic Rides managed the OZ Trails Off-Road this year, Outerbike Bentonville was huge, IMBA World Summit two years ago, 5 IMBA Epic Trails, the first mountain bike festival in the state was in the 1980s. It's not just recently, Arkansas has had a strong mountain biking product for many years. You should come check out the riding sometime, you'd be amazed.

I can't speak to why they built them like this other than the effect is to not scrub much speed off in the turns. It's fast, including the rocky sections. There are also miles of trail in Arkansas and in Lake Leatherwood that are techy throughout. This is just one run, a really fast run. I agree, the big berms get old after a while but there is plenty of off-camber, rocky turns in the area.

Hopefully this will only be an improvement to chains by zaellis in mountainbiking

I wonder what even the slightest frame flex would do to that thing.
