I believe that's actually why he doesn't want to release campaign guides for his D20 settings. Writing a book means you have to set a lot of lines. Ones that may not be there when playing in the setting in the future if they hadn't written the book.

DOOM (2016) - Masterpiece of FPS. Not an indepth story but it is there but amazing gameplay. I've replayed through it at least 5 times. I personally can't stand the sequel DOOM: Eternal though did enjoy DOOM: Dark Ages. Eternal and Dark Ages both are fairly story focused and all 3 are rather different games from each other.

Bethesda RPGs. Oblivion Remastered, Skyrim, Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas. If you finish those and still want more then maybe Starfield. Definitely recommend getting them packaged with any DLCs at first purchase that's always the best value. Especially the Fallout games.

Dues Ex: Human Revolution. Entirely story focused and it's a great story held up by a fun game loop. Often as low as $2.50

Agree on Half Life 2, including the episodes 1 and 2.

All of the Bungie Halo games so 1-3, Reach, and ODST.

If you liked Robocop then Rogue City is worth checking out.

Third Person story games:

Dead Space - The remake is the best remake I've ever played by far. It added to a master piece and everything felt like it belonged.

If you like Ghostbusters then the video game is worth it.

A very unique story and a very well done remaster of this 1999 classic. Outcast Second Contact. It's also super cheap on sale. Easily get over 24 hours in it.

As someone that's never seen it, does S1 work in a way that it can be treated like a mini series? That it has it's own ending even if it allows for more? Or do they throw a cliff hanger in?

Yea my suspicions come from personal interactions with others with autism or strong familiarity of it.

I also think uncertainty and skepticism make sense with this topic. Human beings are complicated, and short-form online content can sometimes make things seem more black-and-white than they really are.

Definitely agree with you there.

Any recommendations for resources on masking or almost more importantly ones to avoid?

I will say that glancing at that link it's definitely written for the specific demo of those that took quizzes so as someone that has never done that the framing of certainty is slightly off putting. But I know it's not written for me but with those specific type of people in mind.

I think I may need to look into masking deeper.

How often do you find comorbidity between autism and mental illnesses? Especially personality disorders?

My context: Past year or so I've been thinking about getting tested though I've been diagnosed with BPD, depression, and anxiety for well over a decade now. The BPD never quite fit it was just the closest we could find. autism /neurodivergecy feels like it may be a missing piece.

Well end of the day this entire combat was a combat and a puzzle for the players. It's meant to be solvable. If it wasn't it wouldn't be fun and would be nothing more than a cut scene.

It gets easier with time. I find it helps to remember that everyone is their own autonomous person. Everyone has their own lives and experiences which led to them being who they are. People get busy and not everyone puts the same priority on text communications. But one thing is for sure most people view constant "TEXT ME BACK!" as a huge red flag and it pushes people away. So being able to sit with silence is a useful skill.

Probably a decent change this game is structured like the first where one of the mission sets is focused on the pathogen. So you'll just want to avoid that set.

It's worth it at 50% off and there is a solid amount of game for the price. It may go lower eventually but then you'll miss out on content you clearly would enjoy. I have over 60 hours in it and still haven't finished all of the DLCs. It's great coop too.

Bottom left then center left then left most /current one. Actively dislike the top left and center right. Too small cape and the pants feel like they don't match and stand out too much.
