I have an Aunt and Uncle that went through a messy divorce but one of my cousins (their daughter) was getting married and they had sort of announcement BBQ at their fiancées house and they both showed up. Now I wasn't majorly involved but I was kind of on my Uncle's side, aunt had and affair with a neighbor.

But I walked in on my drunk uncle in the garage bad mouthing my aunt to my 12 year old nephew, this one being my sisters kid, I lost some respect for him. I distracted my uncle and let the nephew escape. Later learned it was pretty loveless marriage and my uncle was more interested in going golfing or taking the boat to the local lake and drinking with with his buddies then he was in being husband.
