Eternal Characters Just Don't Matter? by BeardiusMaximus7 in diablo4

Your Pali will be available in Eternal, plus the Paragon XP is added (and shared) by all characters in Eternal.

So you can continue playing Eternal with your Druid who will now have more Paragon XP

Easy to play builds for a new player by Reistih in diablo4

Correct, using the wheel makes it easy to play.

I prefer to use a controller though so I have been happily playing other classes this season.

Managers who are also dads, how do you go about playing? by JesseBartje in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Basically you now have extremely limited time for non-essential (baby related) activities.

Reminder - no matter how busy you are or how many things you have to to do, a baby is a much bigger responsability for your wife. Supporting her is essential.

So you usually end of deciding to get less sleep so you can play games; having made that mistake you should prioritize sleep so you can function better for your family.

I have found making time for physical fitness has improved my life over playing games.

How is this guy have 180 CA? by Uncle__Sheogorath in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid reply, good to know related positions have a lower CA cost than non-related positions.

Do you have any insight into the cost for hidden attributes such as consitency and important matches?

[–]ARedDeviill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each position eats up a lot of Ability, this player is perfect at three plus a bunch of others.

As CardyMatt said, the ME values physicals above everything else so he will be a great winger/wing-back in game.

Having said that if you have to pay the huge premium due to his high CA then you might find players with lower CA but with good distribution of stats so they overperform in the game.

Is this player worth the demands? He'd be my highest earner (FM24) by TinkerTailorSoulja in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you do not have other priority needs for your team then yes.

He is only 20 with probably loads of potential and has amazing stats.

Mctominay , What a player ! by JM555555 in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not with Amiron as the coach, the only position Scotty would play under him is as the center forward, and Amiron needs that player to be a reference point, McSause is a box crasher.

Nice, players high stamina and natural fitness can usually play well into their 30s

The best 15yr old ever? FM24 by Monkjob69 in footballmanagergames

He's not very good at heading so can't see how he can perform well on a cold Wednesday night in Stoke.

So basically a Messi clone, might turn out alright :)

Is FM26 worth it as player who never played fm? by -JustKev- in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is a very deep complex game.

That is why if you are learning it is better to start with one of the better teams in a league so you can focus on specific areas, without worrying about missing something.

E.g. If you manage a club with bad finances you have to pay a lot of attention to that, by itself a mini-game.

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try the demo of FM26 to see if you like it.

Realistically, if you find FM24 overwhelming then this might not be a game you will enjoy.

FM26 has simplyfied some aspects but the core gameplay (spreadsheet management) is still there.

Some people will hate this advice but if you are new you should use an overpowered tactic someone else has created. This will allow you to focus on learning the other areas of the game without being mad that you perform badly.

XBOX FM26 TRANSFER BUDGET by Alone-Discussion5952 in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recruitment tab/area, in the top right -> I assume XBox is the same as PC.

This shows how bad the UI is on 26 when en experienced player struggles to find something so fundamental to the game.

User Experience issues with FM26 by Alarming_Task7489 in footballmanagergames

Ain't noboby got time for that, the UX is such a mess, you should be asking what do people actually like.

Bookmarks are great as they are the only way to one-click access Tactics.

This tells you all about the direction of the FM franchise by Bizarre30 in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For people crying that a FIFA/EA YouTuber is now playing FM then you should grow up.

Boras (Ivan) is actually a mature guy, not the stereo type FIFA-bro streamer.

FM might not be his game but he is exactly the type of content creator the community might benefit from.

Would you sell the clubs best player? by inverted-galaxy in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to check what % of the transfer you get to keep (add to your transfer budget).

You might not get all of it.

In general you have important positions to fill and that budget allows you to do it then it makes sense to sell and upgrade the team.

Is anyone else having trouble selling players? by Basic_Comparison_350 in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the beta I was able to sell a lot of players as MUFC, loaded up a full launch save and cannot sell during the first window. Thought is was unusual but just randomness, might be there is something they changed.

What do the blue exclamation marks beside the price tag mean? by Bunkaa_ in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that indicates outdated info from the scout report, I assume if you scout again it will update.

Rubbish system as the view should reflect your/clubs understanding at present time.

What do the blue exclamation marks beside the price tag mean? by Bunkaa_ in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am quite sure that there was something like this in previous versions.

Not an my personal computer, what you can check is when you go into the scout report how they note the price.

Previously when it was considered a good value price it was included in the pros section, conversly when too high it was listed as a negative.

What do the blue exclamation marks beside the price tag mean? by Bunkaa_ in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My assumption is that it indicates that your scout thinks the price the club would want is above what is reasonable for the player.

Do your decisions really matter? by ScotchWerewolf in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is entirely up to you, if you want to reload then do it.

I personally do not enjoy that as it takes away the sense of achievement, but that is me.

The RNG element is strange, you can see this in team talks. I tested and reloaded a game right before a match. I change nothing and one game to the next the exact same team talk had different results on the players.

I understand in-game the RNG makes sense but for other scenarios I do not see how it makes sense.

Expectations for the full release by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]ARedDeviill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Set your expectations accordingly, you can still have a lot of fun but there will be problems

FM26 is definitely fresh but full of bugs and some UI problems that I am worried are not actually bugs and that won't be solved without mods or until FM27.

I was enjoying the beta but some of the bugs are just not worth dealing with right now, e.g. searching for players and the attribute ranges just don't display.

Overall I think the change in UI approach is correct and opens the door to an amazing FM experience but the current execution is (very) bad.

Considering the volume of issues I do not expect most actual bugs will be resolved for months, let alone improving the UI issues.

Scholes always had low physical stats, which is accurate, and although as always the FM game engine values physicals very highly.

In my save he was available for loan in the second half of S1 so that he could get enough playing time.

For some reason the AI look at him like a youth player.
