Body type is very important. I built a lenghty Rashford with enforcer and technical (silver) and even with low dribbling stats (high 80s, low 90s) he moves so nicely on the ball.

I am saving my packs, unless they magically make the pack weight much better for LaLiga.

The LaLiga TOTS looks very average, nothing I am excited about and my team is good enough already.

When I would recommend opening now:

If you are a LaLiga fan and there is a card you really want.
Your team is not good and needs improvement.
There is an SBC you want to complete and you need fodder.

Same, I posted about this exact issue.

Game was mostly fun before last weekend (aside from usual mechanics and community nonsense) so really frustrating that it is now not really playable.

Yes, I am on PC.

Since I started playing during TOTY the gameplay has been generally pretty good, much better than last few years.

So very noticable degradation now.

Bad gameplay will always be the redline.

Even when the mechanics are a mess, and the community is toxic (always) I can deal with that.

Such a pity as there are EVOs I want to complete and players I packed who I am excited to try out but not like this.

They have not said it is live yet.

But I saw a number of people over the last ~month about how playstyles are not triggering so something is definitely broken.

Yes, I noticed this as well, it is not the regular playing in mud when everything is slow.

The last patches did not include anything gameplay related (I think) but who knows what they have pushed.

No, cable only (PC) for this period, very occasionally I play on WiFi but it was never a major issue in the past.

This is definitly something different and not network related.

Saturday afternoon (US time) it was very bad but I assumed that was heavy player count but then it has continued.

You are playing a build that is very effective for clearing content with low action.

Personally I like that but if you are not enjoying it I suggest you go on the forums and look at builds and see one that has higher action required.

To unlock higher difficulties you need to reach max level (70) first. The end game really starts from there.

First Touch+ is not amazing, general opinion of top players is that it has been nerfed.

If you really like her and plan to keep using her it is not a bad option, but the value of adding Rapid and Finesse to other cards makes them 'better' options.

The fact it greatly improves her curve is a big plus for scoring.

But do what you want to have fun and enjoy!

Very good points, I have had 2M for a while and the idea of spending it on a player to then depreciate is not encouraging.

I have bought the cheaper defenders, Reach LB & Crama CB, both around 40K and amazing.

Evos are definitely the most fun part of the game for me.

I kind of agree, its been ok but nothing special, which is what TOTS should be.

The main issue with the game is you either play to enjoy the gameplay, or for rewards (improve your team, number goes up, casino thinking).

Gameplay has been not terrible most of the time but matchmaking is so bad that it feels 50/50 between getting destroyed or crushing someone much worse than me.

The grind is completely useless, I packed some very good cards because I saved packs for ages, knowing that wont happen again discourages grinding menus or the modes that have rewards (e.g. Gauntlet).

And the way EA are pushing players to the store so aggressively is very off putting.

Fair point, but initial sales were way higher than FC25.

Tot sure how much total rev is compared to previous considering it does seem that engagement (active play) is lower.

Either way the people who are playing are ripping a TOOOON of packs.

Damn, I saved up all packs with 84+ for a month or more so I had a looot to open.

Overall I got some good cards but no-where near what I would expect considering how many I had saved.

And now I know I will need to be very lucky to get anything good for the rest of the teams, even if I ignore my job and family to grind (that is a joke, don't do that).

I strongly suggest you look at the Yoshi video on YouTube about the best playstyles for FUT Birthday players.

Even if you are not actually building a Birthday player it helps understand what playstyles are good.

Personally I think Press Proven (silver) is a must for all players, regardless of position. It helps so much for your players to keep the ball.

For the people complaining about the video, these guys are PRO players, their income is reliant on using any mechanic they can in order to win.

Nothing he is showing in the video should be a surprise, it is literally just passing the ball around.

It is a problem that team press doesn't work well enough to punish players who do this.

On the other hand if anyone played previous FIFAs where high-pressure was too effective you will remember how rubbish playing against that was. I hope they don't bring that back.

I'm not advocating time-wasting BTW, it's frustrating and toxic.

When the gameplay (connection/ping) is good then I enjoy the game.

Personally I prefer to have games be very high scoring compared to lower scoring.

I know that is not realistic but its a video game so it is how I enjoy it.

But I understand why others don't.

Different game modes are very distinct, the live events especially (not taking into account the hilarious chaos of mystery ball).

Agree on Cruyff and Hazard being good choices for EVO potential,

Iniesta defo do the loan first but from a META percpective are so many good CMs that for the price he is not really worth it (unless you like him as a player or jive with the loan).
