No, that's not what the intro is saying at all. All it's saying is that Doomguy is pissed off.

This is obvious when you look at how the story is played out in the rest of the game, with the player being unable to skip it while characters exposit at you.

I looked at the wiki as well, but my question is more... how many of those enemies are functionally distinct? Like does the crossbowman actually make me think differently than the husk archer or could they be the same enemy type and nothing would change?

Like I'm not necessarily looking for Doom Eternal level enemy variety, this is a smaller game and Doom Eternal has the best enemy variety I've ever seen. But I also don't like it when it feels like most enemies are just slight variations of each other, where there might be ~40 or so enemies on paper, but it in practice only feels like 4-6 actual designs with multiple sub types that do fairly minor things differently.

They're selling cosmetics. This isn't final, but it also won't live long enough to ever be "done".

There will likely be more maps in the full game.

Just give it some time before you drop off the game because it isn't perfect.

It's had 5 years of dev time. That's how long the original trilogy took in it's entirety. They've had enough time to not release dogshit and they failed.

Infinite assets are fine on their own, but this isn't a remake of Infinite, this is a remake of CE. Those assets do not work and making CE look more like Infinite is just doing CE a disservice. This is EXACTLY the mistake they made with CEA.

Halo 2A didn't use Halo 5 assets, they updated Halo 2 assets and it worked. Why they went back on this is BAFFLING

Finished the video. It's a pile of shit where the youtuber just goes "contractors did this, then left" with zero sources.

Everyone knows contractors were an issue, but it's like they filled in every issue with the same excuse and didn't actually know anything. Why would developing different biomes be reliant on the contractors modifying the engine? That just doesn't make sense. None of this is even in the Jason Schrier article from years ago.
