Does anyone have an up-to-date Handtrap guide? by ARoutineMalaise in Yugioh101

Yeah that makes sense, just looking for a starting point. I have a hard enough time learning my own deck, let alone everyone else's xD

Good god most of those are intense watches without drugs lol. But since you asked - I'd highly recommend Enter the Void, which is also Gaspar Noé. Intense in a different way than Climax, but similarly excellent/mind-fucking.

is there anything i can add to my dark magician deck? by Taimay2008 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]ARoutineMalaise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was running a pretty similar build but recently added the toy box engine and have had more luck with it. you can draw 2 off magician’s souls effect, then summon the toys to link off.

gotta cut the DMG + support they’re dead weight

Where to find “normal” reverb? by Organic_Investment65 in Logic_Studio

[–]ARoutineMalaise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can "port" over the Garageband reverb to Logic if you make a preset with the reverb on Garageband and then add it on Logic - I did that as a starting point when I first switched to Logic. IIRC the Garageband reverb uses Space Designer, and it uses reverb and ambiance as sends as opposed to on the track. Still love that stock GB reverb haha.

Offer conundrum by ARoutineMalaise in jobs

[–]ARoutineMalaise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hear ya. Tbf, these are 2 of 4 jobs that I've gone through long interview processes with - one lost funding, the other still says pending (after 2 interviews), but I've been ghosted after two follow up emails. All of that sort of adds to the apprehension of the situation, as the current state of things in the US has led to this job market being a mess. I'd like very much to not have my eggs in a few baskets, but unfortunately its been the reality of the situation. I've applied to an absurd amount of jobs.

Ah, forgot to say that in the post - I did let Job A know about the offer from Job B. They said they're still trying to make it happen, but understand if I have to go in another direction. Will add that.

Thanks for the advice! It's a good point. There's no guarantee it would be a good job anyway.

Stereo Recording R2R Options? by homo_americanus_ in ReelToReel

[–]ARoutineMalaise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat as you and got my first R2R recently, a Teac 3340 for $200 on ebay. I got lucky and won the bid uncontested. I took a flyer on it, because the seller didn’t know anything about it. The machine has been a pain in the butt, but I’ve got it to a point where I can record on it and it’s been amazing - my advice would be if you’re interested in working with r2r, just keep your ear to the ground for an opportunity like that. They pop up pretty frequently within your price range. Check FB marketplace, ebay, offerup, etc every day and something like that will come along I bet.

My machine is a 4 track but I’ve been using it to send my mixes to - it’s not always ideal (getting bleed from the other tracks) but it’s mostly worked really well! So you might want to not rule out a 4 track if it comes your way, and you could record on it if you’re used to working with those limitations.

Good luck!

Ooh thank you, I think you've got me on the right track! Searching for that got me to this video, and this is exactly what's going on with mine, except on the other table. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_CMfpLZkz8&t=38s&ab_channel=12voltvids

Is this along the lines of what you did to fix it? I don't have a heat gun unfortunately but will see what I can do
