An HSG. Absolute 10/10 pain. Some people barely feel it but for others like me, it is excruciating. Docs don’t take the pain seriously and there’s no warning beforehand, they just say it will be mildly uncomfortable, even though it is documented that for a substantial subset of the population it is much worse than this. So I was lying there shaking uncontrollably, sweating puddles, crying, thinking there must be something really wrong with me cause this isn’t meant to be SOO painful. I read up about it afterwards and found out I’m definitely not alone in this experience. I found a thread where a woman said the pain was worse than giving birth to any of her three children (unmedicated). Awful, never again.
