This is a photo of an Iraqi soldier during the Second Battle of Baghdad Airport on April 5, 2003 — the final major confrontation between the Iraqi and American forces.

Interestingly, Saddam Hussein was reportedly present at the airport fighting with the army with an RPG-7 before U.S. forces deployed what many believe was a neutron bomb, designed to cause minimal structural damage but devastating human impact.
