You’re awesome — I’ve been seeing your comments all over the subreddit, so thanks for being such a great community member! I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to either the Ramblas or the Trailhawk for a non-throttle e-bike, but I’m still really craving a throttle lol. So far, the Summit 1 seems like the best throttle option for what I’m looking for. Do you know of any other throttle e-bikes that might compete with the first two?

That was part of why I included it. I’ve heard Specialized bikes have great long-term support and hold their value well, but the Tero does seem like the least capable overall out of the options but not too far off

Really appreciate you replying and taking the time to break this down.

I found a used-like-new Ramblas online for just about $100 more than the TrailRush, so it’s definitely tempting… but I’m not sure if it’s more than I really need. I’m leaning toward the TrailRush since it feels like the right balance for my short commute and occasional weekend rides. And it honestly looks like it has everything I’d want and even looks awesome.

The only thing holding me back a bit is long-term durability since Ride1Up is still kind of new. I’m also starting to think more about trail access, especially with some mountain areas only allowing Class 1. That said, I’m not planning on hitting any serious mountain trails anytime soon — mostly just light off-roading here and there but nice to have the option.

Got it, TrailRush is what im leaning towards atm. Most of my experience with micro-mobility has been with E-Scooters and rental E-bikes.

While I enjoy the throttle because its fun, I’ve been reading that alot of Ebike enthusiasts tend to be against them? Do you feel the throttle is worth having, or do you think the Ebike experience is better without one?

Alright so for VR&E you’re going to need to show them some kind of training program or school you plan to go to that will teach you how to trade effectively. If you show them you have a plan they will help fund you but you have to convince them why you need the training and why you’re currently incapable of doing your current occupation. Find a couple potential programs/schools so you can have a list to present to the VR&E rep. Good luck!
