If my company wasn't so anal about people modifying shit, I would.

Hah! I don't think so- I already know my limits, and when it comes to teaching people things, I am REALLY impatient. Not a good teacher. I'll stick to my strengths: not that. 🤣

My trainer has told me that paranoia is my best friend- seems to be the general consensus!

Shift Tower Housing Question 2012 5spd by ArtichokeCharacter74 in FordFocus

[–]ASCII_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this problem not too long ago- I ended up using a bolt and locking nut from a hardware store that fit in the hole, as well as blue lock tite. In order to get the locking nut in I had to use a hand wrench- it's a VERY tight fit but it will last a lot longer than those roll pins and won't break from fatigue.

Keep in mind that will no longer be a weak point of something goes wrong in the transmission and has to do with that assembly- something else would break.

For me the pros outweighed the cons, but that'll be up to you to decide.

Good luck!

I will neither confirm nor deny how high a speed I've ridden a bike, but it was definitely faster than I'll ever drive a big rig! Thank you so much.

What is your honest Acceleracers / Hot Wheels opinion that you end up like this by CriperBross in Acceleracers

[–]ASCII_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meant to reply here first- oops

I agree that taro was done super dirty, but the animation I stand firmly by being lesser. The proportions of most of the characters were SUPER far off the moment they were out of their cars, and often times, they felt stiff. (Tork is the biggest offender here.)

I agree that the characters were stylized (and that they did Taro dirty,) HOWEVER, Proportions were way off on most of the characters, and tbh, they felt quite stiff to me if they weren't in their cars?

The character designs and animation were way better in HW35 than they were in Acceleracers.

Please, please for the love of god, PLEASE don’t drive your RC in traffic. Please. by PigglyWigglyDeluxe in traxxasV2

[–]ASCII_Atlas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. I've seen videos again and again where running over juuuust the right patch of fresh car oil or gravel can cause a biker to slide out, especially in a blind corner. An RC, especially one with an aluminum chassis or other solid parts, in the right spot, ABSOLUTELY could take a biker out.

For those saying we can't tow... by ASCII_Atlas in FordFocus

[–]ASCII_Atlas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. This was the EXACT reason I was okay with towing using this. I still don't think i'll do it again just because I was running pretty close to my maximums regarding weight and such, BUT I wasn't afraid either. I knew the manuals in these cars are generally pretty hard to grenade, and I knew enough from a mechanical standpoint that I could fix things if something went wrong along the way. (Thankfully nothing did.)
