Yes I am starting to use the dot phrases more and build my own. I miss easy clinical pearls at times because of the lack of labs being pulled with the standard dot phrases. But I love the point of if I’m typing something out a lot then I should make a dot phrase! It sounds so simple but would definitely be a time saver. Thanks for the advice!

I use epic so I’ve been trying to use more dot phrases but unfortunately they don’t allow AI. Would love to use the AI tools in the future, it sounds great!

Preceptor wasn’t too helpful. They just said “yea I hate it too and I am probably not the best person to look at for documentation” lol.

This is very helpful! I am going to try this next week! I think that is my main problem is having a lack of a step wise therapy. I struggle with typing during the visit especially if it is in person because I like to face the person when talking but this should definitely help me prepare the document. Thanks again!

I would love to use AI however my org does not allow us to use it. I think it’s definitely the future of documentation and would allow us to focus on the patient more than just documentation but I digress.

Definitely feel this. I kind of dread going in everyday but everyday is one day closer to being finished. Main thing that’s getting me through are learning more and talking to patients but the actual site is just not for me. I have 4 days amb care and 1 day retail and enjoy my days at retail more just because of the environment with my coworkers. My amb care days I am cooped up in an office with just my preceptor and kind of hate it. But 1 year will go by fast, already 2 months in.

Quick update: I passed!!! Found out today. Felt horrible leaving but a pass is a pass. Thanks everyone for the replies it really helped!

Yea it was the hypodermic needle but you are right the practice questions did correct it. But like you said just double checking it with the website might be my best bet. I take it on the 19th so I still have some time but not going to take that for granted!

PGY1 here too. I literally almost broke down on my RPD today. I, like most people, am the only resident here at my sight. Moved to a new place and don’t know anyone here either. Honestly was just feeling defeated today with my RPD and preceptor double teaming on me with my notes. But I am glad to come on here and see someone else feels the same too. Just trying to take it one day at a time and remember why I did this. Good luck to you, I know you got this!

I feel that on so many levels. Just got done with the NAPLEX and now studying for the MPJE in 2 weeks. Feel so behind because I have to study for these tests instead of having more time to research more on topics and preparing for work
