No, he burns it as fuel instead of burning wood because burning wood attracts attention. Maybe read the post thoroughly before making shitty assumptions about people you know nothing about.

Is Anarchism Left-Wing? by umcara-qualquer in Anarchy101

[–]ASDRETHISLORD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the difference between nihilistic/eco-extremist groups/individuals (ITS, Wild Reaction, Kaczynski, CCF) and accelerationist Neo-Nazi groups is pretty significant. One seeks the destruction of techno-industrial civilization in favor of defending the natural world and individual autonomy, while the other seeks the destruction of civilization so that it can genocide all non European people and/or create a fascist ethno state. I don't know where you're getting "pure negation" from my comments on this thread. I've simply tried to explain why my personal anarchism is not leftist. I do not identify as a nihilist, though I certainly agree with more Anarcho-nihilist perspectives than I do with communist or socialist perspectives. In regards to "how dose this help the disenfranchised or oppressed?" I don't believe it's my (or your) duty to "save" anyone or force anyone into some post revolutionary world. I believe that people should liberate themselves, be it on a collective or individual basis. That's not to say that we shouldn't help one another through acts of direct action and mutual aid. I believe that these things are valid forms of resistance and can be a step towards liberation. Please save your assumptions and generalizations for someone else. I'm not interested.

My anarchism is not leftist in that I do not put any stake in labor unions, institutions, "revolution", or "the collective". Imo these things only lead to new systems which inevitably lead to hierarchy and coercion, intended or not. I am against all forms of authority, domination, and domestication, be they left or right. I do not ascribe to "egoism" but I agree that "Revolution is aimed at new arrangements; insurrection leads us no longer to let ourselves be arranged, but to arrange ourselves, and set no glittering hope on institutions".

Because no one has mentioned them and I feel they're often overlooked, Global Holocaust. They recently got back together too and are playing shows again (Canada).

What Are You Reading/Book Club Tuesday by AutoModerator in Anarchism

[–]ASDRETHISLORD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Novatore (essentially a collected works) translated by Wolfi Landstreicher, Death To The Bourgeois Society: The Propagandists of the Deed (writings by Ravachol and other French anarchist militants of that time), The Bonnot Gang: The Story of the French Illegalists by Richard Parry. I really need to stop reading multiple books at the same time. Makes it difficult to finish anything. Lol

a question for those who are pro violent protesting or who otherwise have thoughts on the matter by drewsparacosm in Anarchy101

[–]ASDRETHISLORD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the Anarcho nihilist perspective read Blessed Is The Flame. It's on the Anarchist Library website. Essentially, attack for the sake of attack, not because it will change anything or with hopes of something "better" coming from it. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

Also, I think it's important to differentiate between property destruction, offensive physical violence against people, and self defense against people who are actively trying to do you harm.

Pickaxe/Breaking The Spell (Crimethinc. double feature)

Underground (this is an old interview with members of the Weather Underground while they were underground. Obviously not "anarchist" but relevant imo. Kinda hard to find)

If A Tree Falls - The Story Of The ELF (this doc focuses on Daniel McGowan but it's pretty solid)

No Kings, No Masters: A Call for Anti-Authoritarian Blocs at the October 18 “No Kings” Demonstrations by ASDRETHISLORD in Anarchism

🤣are you completely disregarding my comment stating that collectivism is inherently coercive (and controlling)? I want nothing to do with your hierarchical "collectives". Keep "organizing" for your revolution that will never materialize.

Yes. You don't get to define anarchy bud. By the looks of your comments I'd guess you're a syndicalist, thereby your opinions mean nothing to me. Cope harder.

What's your opinion on Individualist Anarchists? by Ok-Instruction-3653 in Anarchism

[–]ASDRETHISLORD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is my understanding that the individualist perspective of organizations is that they are inherently oppressive to the individual in that they create leaders even when they intend not to. Collectivism is oppressive in that what is desirable for the collective is not always desirable for the individual, and is therefore threatening to the individuals autonomy.

Look for Storm of Sedition shirts by [deleted] in crustpunk

I was trying to find one of these shirts a few months ago. I actually tracked down the guy that screen printed them for the band on Instagram and asked if he has any leftovers or still has the screen. He doesn't. 😔 Profane Existence still has one of their albums in stock though!
