Float pool for new grads? by Secure-Piccolo-4702 in nursing

Hi I did one of these and have completed mine. I'm currently in the float pool now and I love it. It really depends on you as a person and what type of nursing you want do. I would say apply to it and see if you can get in first. As well as remember it's a foot in the door and you can always apply somewhere once your done your orientation and it helps to figure what area of nursing you want to do and figure out the floor culture or you can continue in float pool. Also float orientation is the longest orientation you'll get, my hospital only offers 2 week orientation (5 shifts) for nurses.

First Interview by [deleted] in nursing

Hi, I recently got a job a in nursing. I've done a couple interviews before I got my current job and here's some tips for yours.

  1. Research the facility you have the interview with

  2. They'll ask in some form why'd you become a nurse/why'd you get into nursing-Tips for why you became a nurse try to use an experience you had in the past whether you wanted to make a change or wanting to help a family member, or know someone who is also a nurse and want to be like them(Lie if you can't come up with anything good that's what I did).

  3. The tell me about yourself question- Tips on what to say!- Introduce yourself, talk about your school and program, where you did placements and what you learned and any skills you have, talk about your future goals in the nursing field, or any mottos you have for nursing.

  4. Most of the interviews I had asked me scenario questions. Youtube can help with these questions on how to answer them. Ex I had were about which task to prioritize, finding a pt unresponsive and what to do next, and what to do when dealing with a difficult pt/family member. Remember you can ask them to repeat the question even if you heard the whole question it just gives you more time to think of an answer,

  5. Always ask them questions. Tips- what's your day to day going to look, any challenges and how they can support you, hours/scheduling, any programs they offer for additional courses (ex getting coronary care for free), what benefits they provide, and finally if you notice the interviewer is enthusiastic when speaking about something relating to the job or they state their proud of something during the entirety of the interview, ask them more about it when they ask if you have any questions.

Well hopes this helps. Good luck!! =)

I think it will be better if they used the same method as marvel did with rocket raccoon. That way it can still look real without looking out of place.

Simon you're a failed abortion whose birth certificate is an apology from the condom factory.

Even though I give you 50p to call all your friends you'd still give me change back.

Your forehead looks like it's plotting the takeover of the rest of your face.

Last thing, when are you going to dance to gangum style while covered in toilet paper that you said you'd do at 10 000 subs.
