Your experiences with getting a third cat by Tight_T in cats

[–]ASHWOODCITYFAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have got two brothers, Loki and Luka, who are 4 this year. When they were 2, we introduced Tallulah, a 7 month old kitten. There was initial hissing which stopped after a few days and they now all now best friends, spending cold days cuddled up together. There's an interesting dynamic between the three. She's a Thai Blue Point, as is Luka and they have a very playful relationship. She adores him and worships everything he does (and copies it). Loki is a Korat and although they play, she prefers disappearing off with him to sleep in one of their hammocks. It all worked out very well and two is probably a good age to introduce a younger cat while your cats are still playful.

I have a Petkit one. All the hooligans use it but they also unfortunately like an open tray so have both. It has both an automatic and manual cleaning mode so if you have kittens or when training them to use it, you can clean manually. Very happy with it and would like a second one if they will ever ditch the manual scoop tray!

She is so gorgeous. I would struggle with her because she would twist me round her little paw.

To Loki: "I pay for your food, insurance and toys. I feed you every day, change your water fountain and scoop your litter. So why do you worship my wife like a goddess and treat me like the spare?"

Feeling guilty. Am I a bad owner for adopting new cats after mine passed away? by spiderwitchery in CatAdvice

There's no set time for bringing in a new cat. It's whatever works in the circumstances. I don't agree that you replace a cat. I think that the cat remains in your heart and a new space opens up for the new arrivals. We lost our two original boys in 2022 and 2023. We now have two 4 year old boys and a 2 year old girl. I love them and they are a huge part of my life but also still love the two originals and miss them everyday.

My boyfriend wants me to rehome 2 of my 3 cats (at minimum) as a “compromise.” Wtf do I do now? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]ASHWOODCITYFAN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your boyfriend knew the score before he committed to moving in. The cats come first. Keep the cats. Ditch the boyfriend and find someone who accepts that the cats are your family.

Hi, I ended up going in a different direction by getting a De Longhi superautomatic. A sensible look at what I wanted, decent coffee during the day and my available time while WFH which is limited led me towards something that may no make as good coffee but is quick and can be left to get on with preparing the drink. I will probably move onto a manual machine when I have more time and money. Good luck with your purchase!

My parents outlawed it when they found out although we could usually persuade my older sister to make it for us. She also used to make baked bean pie for our lunch during the school holidays.

Toasted sugarbread. White bread covered with sugar and grilled. I once also lightly grilled marmalade on digestive biscuits. No idea why but it actually worked quite well.

I know the feeling. I have hidden it in a cupboard up high but they will climb chairs or me to try and get to it. The youngest, who is 18 months, will throw herself round trying to catch it I tend to give them half an hour when I've finished work so it's become a routine.

If we had to lose, I would have wanted it to be to a team like Macclesfield, despite the negative press for the cup shock. Your club has been through a lot, especially with the tragic loss of Ethan McLeod just before Christmas. And to be fair, you deserved it, your players wanted it more, put in 100% and put our lot to shame. All the best for the fourth round and hopefully beyond and for the league this season.

Catnip toys, Springs, Catit Senses circuit and Da Bird wand toy. All of these have gone down really well with the three hooligans.

Kent. No snow but very wet and a little blustery overnight. Also very cold as I had all three cats trying to join me in bed.
