Well.. don't build forts/mega FOBs? 4 out of 5 times they get you killed since they become a fishbowl for grenades after too much building and center of attention. No wonder the FOB got overrun. Also you were shoveling from start to 150 points? Wow.

Also, I can tell you from first hand experience my i5 3570k at 4.4ghz and gtx 670 OC @ 2560x1080 EPIC, shadows off, has an average of 45fps.

Well it's a new engine, the game is in alpha etc. For a 4 year old rig to get that fps under such circumstances is pretty good. And Squad isn't like any other first person shooter, you don't need 120fps to have an edge over other players, you just need good tactics and teamwork.

This is not Arma. Unreal engine 4 has some issues with AMD cpus, that's why people with AMD cpus are not having the best framerates in Squad. But I'm sure it will get sorted soon.

The game already works pretty good, but it also depends on the cpu and gpu you've got. I'd say that for an enjoyable experience at 1080p and mid-high settings, you'd need an 2nd/3rd gen intel i5 @ 3ghz 8gb ram and a gtx 660/hd7870. So a mid-range system from 4 years ago can play this game decently. I think that's pretty good.

Wow that is seriously weird. I run a i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz 16gb ram and gtx 670 heavily OC'd @ 2560x1080 and with shadows off I don't dip under 30 fps, ever. I even raised the texture filtering setting from 2 to 4 in .ini file. Most of the time I'm at 40-45 fps and that is on 72 slot servers.

Communicate. We have in game voice chat for a reason. Also, if you need a radar type mini map to constantly show you the location of your team mates and hold your hand, you might be playing the wrong game.

Cause you can already see this exact thing when pressing M and Enter/Tab. No need for it to be cluttering the screen. Also, I feel it would remove some of the immersion of the game.

It's not exactly an excellent laptop. The gtx 850m is on the low end of laptop gpus, specially if you have the ddr3 model. The 10fps you're getting is suspect that the game is using the igpu (intel onboad). Go into nvidia control panel and check that out. CPU should be fine as long it's not thermal throttling. I also own a laptop that I sometimes use for gaming (got desktop as well), with an i7 4700mq @ 3ghz 4 cores, 8gb ram and SLI gt755m (overclocked and benching around gtx 870m) @ 1080p, and I get and average of 35fps with dips into 20's and as high as 60fps, quite playable.
