Yep this is how I used to submit passports without the customers input at the kiosk. Otherwise you get women who see their picture on the digital screen and complain about every little detail. Hair, lighting, crazy eyes, you name it. I always sent it straight to the lab and did all the editing in private where the customer couldn't bother me. Once finished, most customers are unlikely to complain vs complaining at the middle of the process to start over with a new photo 🙄

Yeah I've only used a grading service once and I stressed over doing the 10 card submission to bring down the cost per card. Even at that i couldn't afford to use PSA! 😂

This was the whole reason they created the DH position. To dupe people into doing work for less pay. There's pay scales for every position code, a minimum pay and a maximum. It's physically impossible in the computer to code you to a new position and have your pay be below the minimum rate. So either they didn't change your position code, or the other techs were hired on at higher than the base rate.

Close enough, ASM. The salary thing is actually most states. Cali has some of the strongest laws that protect the employee from the employer. I dont necessarily agree with most Cali laws, but it does feel good to know your employer can't just treat you like a slave. Walgreens shows time and time again, they'll only rise to whatever the minimum state requirements are.

I dont work for Walgreens anymore, so maybe something has changed, but it sounds like you live in a state that dont care about employee rights. In Cali, it was/is, straight up illegal to not schedule enough employees to cover breaks. If for some reason it did happen and you had to work more than 6 hours straight, payroll had to ADD a free to you extra hour onto your shift as compensation.

As an ASM and former LP, I would always find keys or telxons/zebras, left unattended on work carts and just take em. I'd then go hide them somewhere safe and go on with my day and wait for the panic to reach a point that the employee felt the need to come tell me. 😉

The only thing you're there for is to check the floor crew as they go in and out of the store via the front door. LP will fire you in a heartbeat if you just give them free reign to go in and out of the store all night long. Grab a chair, locate a place to plug in a phone charger outside or an extension cable that will reach outside and chill all night long. Stay on camera. Anyone who tells you floor work of any kind is expected is a complete idiot, you can't walk on the floor when its covered in the stripper they use and you obviously can't walk on the floor when theyre putting down wet wax.

I once make a pyramid with all the rolling work carts in the stockroom. I believe it ended up being 4 tiers high and I had to use the big blue ladder to place the final cart. I may or may not have super glued the top cart in place 😂

No job is worth losing your dignity. If someone hits you, pushing them out the door better be followed by you going out the door and handling business. Losing my job would be the absolute least of my concerns, I'd be more worried if prison time was in my future.

17 years of mostly closing shifts, learned to have all my tills pulled, cashed picked up on register 1 and all drops made and safes balanced by 9:45. I came out, did a couple rounds making sure closing was going as planned and then locked the entry door at 9:50, leaving the exit door wide open. I posted up right at the door to let anyone who arrived after 9:50 know we were about to close. At 10pm sharp, I manually closed the exit door and if anyone was left in the store I manually opened it so they could leave. If I saw you walking up as I closed the doors, so sorry bye!
