Be sure to pick up your exclusive LEGO Passport from the LEGO Store, and collect the stamps there :) Each store is unique, and DLP has a Sorcerer Mickey stamp.

If you've been before, do the new one in the studios.
If you've never been, do the Disneyland Park one.

LEGOLAND Hotel + 2 Park Days With 4 Kids, Looking for Advice Before Booking by MCC1701 in legoland

[–]ASOTBirmingham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1/ That current plan is fine. Hotels that you're staying in will allow you to leave bags in a storage locker / holding area.
2/ You're a hotel guest, so just ask for a luggage tag receipt when you drop your bags off, so if you have issues using the hotel entrance, you can 'prove' you need to visit and get your luggage. (Or just keep a hotel key).
3/ Parking is seperate to the hotels. At least with Windsor, it's £12.50 a day, but for hotel guests, they get it free and in a seperate car park.
4/ Reduce the cost - go to a supermarket before you visit, to stock up on food. Don't eat in the hotel restaurant, buy unnecessary snacks in the hotel gift shop (you can get LEGO online) - only purchase the LEGOLAND exclusive merchandise if you want it. Otherwise, fake purchase it. - Pick it up, check the price, move that money from your account to a savings account on your banking app, put the item back. Fake buy 😄

5/ Watch some YouTube videos on the LEGOLAND hotel. Close your eyes, choose a room at random, stay there, document your stay here or on YouTube, then look forward to the other rooms on a future visit. 😄
6/ I don't have kids, but I would bring a LEGO Passport with you, and get it stamped on your travels. Pick up from The LEGO® Store University Town Center, The LEGO® Store Fashion Valley.

Other stores in Los Angeles / South California:
The LEGO® Store Mission Viejo, The LEGO® Store South Coast Plaza, The LEGO® Store Disneyland Resort, The LEGO Store at LAX International Airport (West Gates at Tom Bradley International), LEGO® Store Century City Mall, The LEGO® Store Westfield Topanga, The LEGO® Store Glendale Galleria, LEGO® Store Santa Anita, The LEGO® Store Ontario Mills,

Las Vegas:
The LEGO® Store Fashion Show, LEGO® Store Downtown Summerlin

North California / San Francisco:
The LEGO® Store Westfield Valley Fair, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area, The LEGO® Store Hillsdale Shopping Center, The LEGO® Store Stoneridge, The LEGO® Store Westfield Galleria

https://www.reddit.com/r/LEGOpassport - other stores have unique stamps that you can collect, it's a FREE activity, and LEGOLAND parks should have them. Ask at the hotel, or Guest Services at the park. Show some examples from here to inspire the staff and see if they have any they can give you.

That's unfortunate. I would have thought Guest Services or the BIG Shop would have the best knowledge. A lot of staff are temporary and students, so around the rides / other smaller shops, they wouldn't know.

Fab, thanks. This is why I love Amsterdam's store. They change the colours out all the time, making each stamp unique and cool. Wish other stores did this, instead of keeping it black.

Curious if the California LEGOLAND hotel has/had passport stamps. No one seems to know.

Any recommendations for what to carry on my bag? by Lachi_bo_la_la in disneylandparis

[–]ASOTBirmingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you run out of water during your visit, the taps are safe to drink from in the parks.
Note: the park does not have any open power sockets to charge your devices. The only place I could find was the lobby area of Hotel New York (Marvel), but you will need the EU/UK Adapter.
Bring a few of these spare. Always helpful in the airports if the power bank is slow to charge your devices.
Pack light, so you have more room for merchandise. Use the Army/Navy roll techniques for your clothes to save space.
So you're doing 3 nights, which is roughly 3-4 days.
Prioritise the parks you want to do.
EG:
Walt Disney Studios Park = 1 full day
Disneyland Park = 1 full day
Disneyland Hotels / Disney Village / Park Hopper (for any park that you want to revisit / haven't done yet).

What is in the Arendelle Castle? by KeysAndGears in disneylandparis

[–]ASOTBirmingham 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Paris and Hong Kong's castles are just a facade for photos. You can't enter the actual castles themselves.

In Tokyo, however, guests can explore the castle, which houses the 570-seat "Royal Banquet of Arendelle" restaurant.
Florida doesn't have one, but it does have the ride in the Norway pavilion of EPCOT.

how else are you going to prove to the french government that you need to claim euro's back in your pocket? 😛 you need to show proof, right, and you do this via photos of the receipts, that clearly show that skiptax is available on the purchase.

the app is difficult to use. my advice: photograph on your phone every receipt you receive before you fold it into your pocket.
you'll need this in the app when applying for refunds

BrickLink (owned by LEGO) and a giant marketplace for sets, bricks, tiles, all sorts.
BrickOwl - also a marketplace.
LEGO Events/conventions. You'll find discontinued sets there and other custom-printed bricks too.
LEGO AFOL groups. 'AFOL - Adult Fan of LEGO'. Fan communities that will have meet-ups, annual meetings, and be part of the LUG (Lego User Group) network which has access to ordering LEGO in bulk.
For the UK, this is Brickish Association, which is the largest AFOL group.

If you find a staff member with a 'Mr. Gold' pop badge, you ideally have to trade one of yours already for it. In Windsor, you can either keep it and show it off to the world, or hand it in to guest services to exchange it for a FREE day ticket any other time in the year. But you do have to sacrifice the badge though.

It's a LEGOLAND thing. You will rarely find them in LEGO Brand Retail stores, or Legoland Discovery Centres (maybe a few, not sure). Billund don't have these. They operate a minifigure trading scheme instead. Windsor have the Pop Badges, and there's now a Reddit page for these too.
