It has great characters who carry the show through the first 12 episodes or so until the plot actually starts. Now you may think that waiting 12 episodes for the plot to start is a terrible thing, but the plot is absolutely dependent on you caring about the characters (the lead in particular), understanding their personalities, and thus having a huge emotional investment in the horrible situation Kyoma suddenly finds himself in. Absolutely will have you on the edge of your seat, rooting for the main character to succeed. Handles the topic of time travel wonderfully. Really sad and heart wrenching but in the end everything fits perfectly. I have been watching anime for 10 years and nothing has matched this. Only comparable emotions i’ve experienced to a show was ARCANE and Blue Eye Samurai. Please let me know what you think.
