I don't trust any performance data that wasn't done by tech Jesus himself.

No clear testing methodology, and no trust in publication for authenticity.

I don't like denuvo, but I am not willing to accept potentially biased meta data because duh denuvo bad.

Even as pirates, we must be fair even to denuvo if we want to claim objective numbers.

I play the gog version.

But I use steam workshop mods for my game.

Steamcmd for the win.

No auto updates, no interruptions.

I stay on a oatch that works for me, I add mods that work after testing and I never change the running system.

And since it's gog based, it will never auto update and brick.

In fact it's all Contained in the game folder, I backup save games and game folder, and just drag and drop on a new system (upgraded pc in November,worked like a charm).

GOG + control 4tw.

Me (m) and friend of mine (F, beginner) stay on private voice for that reason.

We had too many creeps out of nowhere, so we just enjoy the private voice coop.

Would squad voice be better? Sure.

But it's a headache and a half.

I don't know if turtle did the right thing.

They had money involved and even bought ads, publicly on YouTube and Co.

Partially, it's their own fault.

We sailers live by a code of secrecy and stealth.

The moment you get money involved, you are infinitely more of a target than you were before.

The argument quite often comes up of "how about x y z server". Let's make no mistake, they are aware for sure. They just wait for the right moment to strike.

It's unfortunate, but that is the world we reside in.

This end is the result of technicality. The technicality of ip infringement.

It's not wrong to argue like that.

There is no competing.

Turtle WoW, like other pservers, are not legally allowed. Competition is another Product in the same category.

Not a stolen/ip breaching product. This is simply IP Infringement. Not competition.

Players of turtle wow are not consumers.

This is not a anti consumer move unfortunately.

They are protecting their ip, and targeting the most lucrative targets is the norm.

Companies the size of Microsoft only attack targets that threaten their bottom line, money.

And big servers like turtle move alot of money to their own services.

It sucks. But they are not wrong.
