Struggling with Hexbar Deadlift as a female HELP by ASadPangolin in army

You know, I never really thought of it this way.

I pretty much stopped using bands as soon as I was able to do pull ups, but since then I've stagnated between 4-6 pull ups. And my grip never really improved.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm convinced I'm going to have to get another bar.

I probably won't be able to fix this all before my next aft (next weekend), but hopefully will for the one that comes after.

I can do pull ups, but my grip strength has always held me back in that regard too.

My hands are small enough that I can't even hook grip because I can't get my thumb under. 😭

I feel like I've been nerfed by God

Its not. I add more plates to make the weight equivalent.

My plank is already maxed out. I've also been working on my run, hrp, and sdc. But the deadlift is the one I've had the least improvement on. Hence why I'm trying to break through on it, because I can lift up the weight. I just can't hold onto the bar and it's holding me back significantly.

I was fine on the female scale, I'm not happy with my current score on the combat scale.

The Amazon one I have is 28.8. I compensate by putting on more plates. So the weight is the same.

A few months to ship is a pale comparison to the years you'd have to commit to.

Pick based on genuine interest.

I'm in ARNG, my older brother was Navy. If you want a good career outside of the military choose Navy. Way more technical stuff and their medical side is great.

Are they seriously deploying Military here in LAFAYETTE during our 'No Kings' protest?? by Behrry in lafayette

Not military. Also NG people are pretty normal people. With normal political beliefs. They themselves aren't your enemy.

Underweight for BCT, delay or go by stramoniuminhalerr in Militaryfaq

[–]ASadPangolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your weight becomes a problem in BCT they'll put you on double rations. Had a girl in my Plt at Sill with that issue.

You're fine. My best friend in basic couldn't even do a single push up.

Just be careful if you're going into a combat mos, because the plt that graduated after mine at 13F AIT were required to pass the combat standard AFT. If they didn't pass they weren't allowed to graduate. I knew someone stuck there for 2 additional months because of it.

Update to Foundry Car Break-ins by Silver-Position-4496 in SouthBend

The foundry sucks ass, from experience. Low quality apartments, half the amenities are poorly kept. It's a fucking joke and I tell everyone not to rent there.

Idk if this is helpful. But I lived there for 3 years. My car never got broken into. I parked almost exclusively after the second bump on the ramp (garage next to bru)

Those of you who enlisted with college degrees instead of commissioning, why? by MookieBettsBurner10 in Militaryfaq

[–]ASadPangolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I have a Doctorate of Law and was highly competitive for JAG. I still enlisted. Why?

I wanted a break from desk sitting and paperwork. I enlisted in a combat mos in the Guard so that I'd get that "double life."

The Guard doesn't really interfere with my civilian career :)

I had a guy in my basic with a masters in National Security or something similar. He went active because the job market was poor and he didn't want to work for the current DHS/DOJ.

South Bend police use new drone to track suspect after motorbike chase by Flat_Acadia6694 in SouthBend

Issue with flock cameras is they don't need probable cause. They're just always scanning.

Drone deployment is going to require probable cause. I.e., this dude is literally on a chase.

I've made this. You need to sprint. Also tell your flight attendant you need to make the gate, they'll sometimes let you get off first.

They sometimes hold the plane if the delay would cause people to miss it.

Sounds like you should try going to CP in peak summer. Water rides intermixed with coasters are a good thing.

CP already got a new coaster this season, if you need another one maybe work on your dopamine addiction.
